The U.S. state of New Jersey is home to significant and growing numbers of people of Latino and Hispanic descent. who in 2018 represented a Census- estimated 20.4% of the state's total population (nearly 1.8 million). Broadway is a neighborhood within the city of Newark in Essex County, New Jersey, United States. It is located on the west bank of the Passaic River, in Newark's North Ward, east of Forest Hill and north of Seventh Avenue. The neighborhood extends from Interstate 280 to Belleville. A Cuban exile is a person who emigrated from Cuba in the Cuban exodus. Exiles have various differing experiences as emigrants depending on when they migrated during the exodus. Demographics Social class Cuban exiles would come from various economic backgrounds, usually reflecting the emigration wave they were a part of. Many of the Cubans who would emigrate early were from the middle and upper class, but often brought very little with them when leaving Cuba.
