Highway 19 (Wisconsin)
State Trunk Highway 19 (often called Highway 19, STH-19 or WIS 19) is a state highway in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. It provides a more direct route from U.S. Highway 14 near Mazomanie east to Highway 16 at Watertown, passing around the north side of Madison. WIS 19 is a local connector route that links the communities of Waunakee, Sun Prairie and Watertown. The highway follows two lane surface road for the entire length with the exception of urban multilane arterials. Route description WIS 19 begins at Mazomanie at the junction of US 14 and WIS 78. It follows WIS 78 north for about a mile before turning east. It passes through the small communities of Marxville and Springfield Corners, and turns east to follow US 12 through Springfield Corners, a concurrency of about . Mazomanie, Wisconsin
Mazomanie is a village in Dane County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 1,652 at the 2010 census. The village is located within the Town of Mazomanie. It is part of the Madison Metropolitan Statistical Area. Geography Mazomanie is located at . According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of , of which, of it is land and is water. History The land on which rests the town of Mazomanie fell within the hunting grounds of the Hočąk, or Winnebago, Indian nation. About a decade after the Winnebago cession of 1832, there were only a small number of white settlers in the area. What precipitated the birth of the town was the advent of the Milwaukee and Mississippi Railroad in 1855, which passed through the region to connect Milwaukee with La Crosse. A concurrency in a road network is an instance of one physical roadway bearing two or more different route numbers. When two roadways share the same right-of-way, it is sometimes called a common section or commons. Wisconsin Highway 16
State Trunk Highway 16 (often called Highway 16, STH-16 or WIS 16) is a Wisconsin state highway running from Pewaukee across the state to La Crosse. Much of its route in the state parallels the former mainline of the Milwaukee Road and current mainline of the Canadian Pacific Railway. Interstate 90 (I-90) or I-94 parallels Highway 16 for most of its length in the state. It serves local traffic in nearby cities including La Crosse, Tomah, Wisconsin Dells, Portage, Columbus, Watertown, Oconomowoc and Waukesha. State Trunk Highway 26 (often called Highway 26, STH-26, or WIS 26) is a state highway in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The route is partially a divided highway with a few freeway bypass sections for roughly 50 miles. The remaining sections of WIS 26 is a two-lane road. WIS 26 provides direct access from Janesville to Oshkosh via Fort Atkinson, Watertown, and Waupun. Windsor is a village and former town in Dane County, Wisconsin. The population was 8,754 at the time of the 2020 census. The communities of Lake Windsor, Morrisonville, and Token Creek are located within the village. Windsor voted to incorporate as a village on November 3, 2015; prior to its incorporation, it was a town, and a portion of the town was a census-designated place. Windsor is a part of the Census Bureau's Madison metropolitan statistical area. A portion of the former town was part of a disputed annexation by the Village of DeForest. Interstate 94
Interstate 94 (I-94) is an east–west Interstate Highway connecting the Great Lakes and northern Great Plains regions of the United States.
