Henry Poley
Henry Poley (5 January 1654 – 7 August 1707) was an English lawyer and Member of Parliament. He was the son of Sir Edmund Poley (1619–1671) who was MP for Bury St Edmunds, and brother of Edmund Poley the diplomat. Poley matriculated at Jesus College, Cambridge in 1672, and graduated B.A. in 1673, having been a fellow commoner since 1670. He was then a Fellow of the college to 1675. He entered Gray's Inn in 1669, and the Middle Temple in 1672, being called to the bar in 1678. He represented Eye between 1689 and 1695, West Looe between 1703 and 1705, and Ipswich Ipswich () is a port town and borough in Suffolk, England, of which it is the county town. Charles Seymour (January 1, 1885 – August 11, 1963) was an American academic, historian and the 15th President of Yale University from 1937 to 1951. As an academic administrator, he was instrumental in establishing Yale's residential college system. His writing focused on the diplomatic history of World War I. Early life Seymour was born in New Haven, Connecticut, the son of Thomas Day Seymour, who taught classics at Yale, and Sarah Hitchcock Seymour. His paternal grandfather, Nathan Perkins Seymour, was the great-great grandson of Thomas Clap, who was President of Yale in the 1740s. His paternal grandmother, Elizabeth Day, was the grandniece of Jeremiah Day, who was Yale's president from 1817 through 1846. William Churchill (Ipswich MP)
William Churchill (11 August 1661 – 1737) of Dallinghoo, Suffolk, was a British politician who sat in the House of Commons between 1707 and 1717. Churchill was the second son of William Churchill of Dorchester. He was brother of the MPs Awnsham Churchill and Joshua Churchill. He married Rose Sayer, daughter of John Sayer of Woodbridge. In the 1680s, Churchill was a radical Whig publisher. In 1685, he was accused of printing James Scott, 1st Duke of Monmouth's ''Declaration'', and fled to the Netherlands. He became useful to William of Orange and printed many of his declarations at the time of the Revolution. As a reward, he was appointed bookbinder, stationer to the king in 1689 and held the post for the rest of his life. He was appointed cashier to the ordinance office in 1699 and held the post until 1702.
