Hedda (film)
''Hedda'' is a 1975 film adaptation of Henrik Ibsen's 1891 play ''Hedda Gabler''. It stars Glenda Jackson, Peter Eyre, and Patrick Stewart (in his screen debut) and was directed by Trevor Nunn. This film was the first (and, as of 2019, the only) major theatrical film version of the play in English. Other productions of the play in English with sound have been made for television. It was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress (Glenda Jackson). The film was also screened at the 1976 Cannes Film Festival, but wasn't entered into the main competition. Trevor Nunn
Sir Trevor Robert Nunn (born 14 January 1940) is a British theatre director. He has been the Artistic Director for the Royal Shakespeare Company, the Royal National Theatre, and, currently, the Theatre Royal, Haymarket. He has directed dramas for the stage, like '' Macbeth'', as well as opera and musicals, such as ''Cats'' (1981) and ''Les Misérables'' (1985). The Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) is a nonprofit organization of journalists and photographers who report on the entertainment industry activity and interests in the United States for media (newspaper, magazine and book publication, television and radio broadcasting) predominantly outside the U.S. The HFPA consists of about 105 members from approximately 55 countries with a combined following of more than 250 million. (french: L'Histoire d'Adèle H., link=no) is a 1975 French historical drama film directed by François Truffaut, and starring Isabelle Adjani, Bruce Robinson, and Sylvia Marriott. Written by Truffaut, Jean Gruault, and Suzanne Schiffman, the film is about Adèle Hugo, the daughter of writer Victor Hugo, whose obsessive unrequited love for a military officer leads to her downfall. Isabelle Yasmina Adjani ; born 27 June 1955) is a French actress and singer of Algerian and German descent.
