''Harvey'' is a 1944 play by the American playwright Mary Chase (playwright), Mary Chase. She received the Pulitzer Prize for Drama for the work in 1945. It has been adapted for film and television several times, most notably in a Harvey (1950 film), 1950 film starring James Stewart and Josephine Hull. Plot Elwood P. Dowd is an affable man who claims to have an unseen (and presumably imaginary) friend Harvey – whom Elwood describes as a six foot, three-and-one-half inch (192 cm) tall Púca, pooka resembling an anthropomorphic rabbit. Elwood introduces Harvey to everyone he meets. His social-climbing sister, Veta Simmons, increasingly finds his eccentric behavior embarrassing. She decides to have him committed to a sanatorium, sanitarium. When they arrive at the sanitarium, a wikt:comedy of errors, comedy of errors ensues. Harvey Comics
Harvey Comics (also known as Harvey World Famous Comics, Harvey Publications, Harvey Comics Entertainment, Harvey Hits, Harvey Illustrated Humor, and Harvey Picture Magazines) was an American comic book publisher, founded in New York City by Alfred Harvey in 1941, after buying out the small publisher Brookwood Publications. His brothers, Robert B. and Leon Harvey, joined shortly after. The company soon got into licensed characters, which by the 1950s, became the bulk of their output. The artist Warren Kremer is closely associated with the publisher. Harvey Comics' most notable characters are Casper the Friendly Ghost and Richie Rich (character), Richie Rich. Harvey's mascot is named Joker, a harlequin jack-in-the-box character. He was also the mascot of the cartoon shorts series ''Noveltoons'' which brought to life many Harvey Comics characters and also appeared as a cameo in the ending scene of the film ''Who Framed Roger Rabbit'', alongside many other famous cartoon characters. ... Harvey Railway Station, Western Australia
Harvey railway station is located on the South Western Railway in Western Australia. It serves the town of Harvey. History Harvey station opened in August 1893 shortly after the South Western Railway was extended from Pinjarra to Bunbury. In 1936, the station was extended and the building improved with rustic weatherboards to the exterior and the roof tiled. Harvey's timber, dairy, beef and other agricultural commodities trade, including from the irrigated dairy industry, ensured busy goods traffic at the station. Passenger traffic at the station was substantial well into the 1970's. Harvey was serviced by both the iconic 'Australind' passenger service as well as the early-morning Bunbury Belle shopper - both of which ran between Perth and Bunbury. The advent of greatly improved road linkages on the South West Highway and the efficiency of road-based transport saw usage of the line progressively decline from the 1970's onwards. Harvey, Western Australia
Harvey is a town located in the South West of Western Australia along the South Western Highway, south of Perth, between Pinjarra and Bunbury. It has a population of 2,750. Harvey Town is known for its dairy industry and oranges. History Harvey's name is derived from the nearby Harvey River, named by Governor James Stirling in 1829, soon after the river's discovery by explorers Alexander Collie and Lieutenant William Preston RN. Although not positively known, the river is most likely named after Rear Admiral John Harvey. In 1817–18, Harvey was Commander in Chief of the West Indies StationStirling served under him while in charge of , and Harvey recommended him for promotion. Stirling named a number of Western Australian features after his former navy colleagues. John Harvey & Sons is a brand (trading name) of a wine and sherry blending and merchant business founded by William Perry in Bristol, England in 1796. The business within 60 years of John Harvey joining had blended the first dessert sherry, dubbed 'cream sherry', which has changed little since 1880 and is known as Harveys Bristol Cream.
