Harriet Andreassen
Harriet Andreassen (6 May 1925 – 10 February 1997) was a Norwegian labour activist and politician for the Labour Party. Born in Vikna, she was secretary of the union ''Norsk Arbeidsmandsforbund'' (Union of Norwegian Working Men) from 1967 to 1977, and of the Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions (''LO'') from 1977 to 1985. The Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions ( no, Landsorganisasjonen i Norge, LO) is a national trade union center, decidedly the largest and probably the most influential umbrella organization of labour unions in Norway. The 21 national unions affiliated to the LO have almost 1,000,000 members of a Norwegian population of 5 million. The majority of affiliated unions organizes traditional blue collar workers, but the largest affiliate is the Norwegian Union of Municipal and General Employees which makes up more than a third of all members. Odvar Nordli (3 November 1927 – 9 January 2018) was a Norwegian politician from the Labour Party. He was the 28th prime minister of Norway from 1976 to 1981 during the Cold War. Before serving as Prime Minister, Nordli served as the minister of Local Government from 1971 to 1972. After serving as prime minister, Nordli served as the vice president of the Storting from 1981 until 1985, and was also a member of the Norwegian Nobel Committee from 1985 until 1996. Early life A son of railroad worker Eugen Nordli (1905–1991) and housewife Marie (1905–1984), born Jørgensen, Nordli grew up in Tangen in Stange, Hedmark. After World War II he served in the Independent Norwegian Brigade Group in Germany, part of the Allied forces occupying post-war Germany. Akershus
Akershus () is a traditional region and current electoral district in Norway, with Oslo as its main city and traditional capital. It is named after the Akershus Fortress in Oslo. From the middle ages to 1919, Akershus was a fief and main county that included most of Eastern Norway, and from the 17th century until 2020, Akershus also had a more narrow meaning as a (sub) county that included most of the Greater Oslo Region. Rælingen
Rælingen is a village and municipality in Akershus in Viken county, Norway. It is part of the traditional region of Romerike. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Fjerdingby. Rælingen was separated from the municipality of Fet on 1 July 1929. General information Name The name is first mentioned around 1400 ("i Ræling"). It is probably an old district name (the name of the church site is Fjerdingby). The meaning of the name is unknown. Coat-of-arms The coat-of-arms is from modern times. They were granted on 30 April 1981. The arms show a yellow pitchfork on a green background. It is a symbol for the local agriculture. A large part of the municipality is lowland, which historically has mainly been used to produce hay.
