Johan Collett Falsen
Johan Collett Falsen (9 September 1817 – 2 September 1879) was a Norwegian jurist and politician. John Collett Falsen born in the town of Grimstad in Nedenes amt in southern Norway. He was the son of Hagbart Falsen and wife Aletta Fleischer. He was the grandson of Enevold de Falsen (1755–1808) as well as being the nephew of admiral Jørgen Conrad de Falsen (1785–1849), statesman Christian Magnus Falsen (1782–1830) and county governor Carl Valentin de Falsen (1787–1852). Falsen attended Bergen Cathedral School (1828). He graduated as cand.jur. from the University of Christiania in 1841. He worked as an attorney (''prokurator'') in Nedenes from 1846, and then in Trondhjem. In 1849 he moved to Drammen to work as an attorney there. Iver Steen Thomle
Iver Steen Thomle (1 March 1812, in Froland – 16 September 1889, in Kristiania) was Norwegian jurist. He was the son of Erich Andreas Thomle and his wife Mette Maria, née Binneballe. His brother was politician and jurist August Thomle. In 1838 Iver Steen Thomle married Augusta Sophie Smith. She died shortly after, but Thomle married Juliane Marie Heyerdahl in 1845. Thomle graduated from the University of Christiania in 1833. He held jobs in the lawyer's office of Frederik Stang and later the Ministry of Justice. In 1849 he became County Governor of Nedenes (today: Aust-Agder), a post he held until 1860. Peder Carl Lasson (14 November 1798 – 5 June 1873) was a Norwegian jurist and politician. He served as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Norway from 1855 to 1873. He was born in rural Bærum in Akershus, Norway. He was the son of Niels Quist Lasson (1762-1853) and Barbara Christiane Bremer (1773-1833). He went on the Christiania Cathedral School (now Oslo Cathedral School). He studied at the newly founded University of Christiania (now University of Oslo). He graduated with a degree in law during 1822. Jacob Aall (27 July 1773 – 4 August 1844) was a Norwegian politician, historian, landowner and government economist. He was born the son of Nicolai Benjamin Aall (1739-1798), who was a merchant in Porsgrunn, Norway and owner of Ulefos Manor. He was also the nephew of merchant Jacob Aall (1754-1826). Career In 1791, Aall began attending a school in Copenhagen, Denmark where he earned a degree in theology in 1795. After graduating, he returned to Norway where he tried working as a cleric, but he felt that his abilities were not well at use and decided to take up other studies. In 1796, he returned to Copenhagen, where he began studying natural science. In 1797, he journeyed to Germany, touring the scientific schools of Leipzig, Kiel and Göttingen.
