Həkəri FK (), also known as FK Hakari, was an Azerbaijani football (soccer), football club based in Baku and home games played in Sumqayit, even though it represents the city of Qubadlı, which is controlled by Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (de facto independent, but recognized only by 3 non-UN member states) but de jure is a part of Azerbaijan. History The club was established in 2002 by club's current chairman and manager Javanshir Aliyev as an amateur football club. In 2011, the club transformed into the professional club and immediately admitted to the Azerbaijan First Division in 2011. In 2011, club's owners announced that club will be dissolved and all of their results in Azerbaijan First Division will be annulled. The Azerbaijan First League () is the second highest professional division in Azerbaijani professional football. The league is run by AFFA. The winner promotes to Premier Division. Qubadlı
Qubadli (, ) is a city in Azerbaijan and the administrative centre of the Qubadli District. It is situated along the Vorotan (Bargushad) river. History Qubadli was part of the Zangezur uezd of the Elizavetpol Governorate during the Russian Empire. According to 1886 census data, there were 70 homes and 326 Azerbaijanis (classified as "Tatars" in the census) of the Shiite branch of Islam in Qubadli. According to the 1912 publication of the ''Caucasian Calendar'', the village of Qubadli was home to 672 people, the majority of whom were Azerbaijanis (classified as "Tatars" in the census). The AFFA Amateur League is run by the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA). AFFA Amateur League is amateur and professional teams compete in the league. They are divided into 2 groups and hold 18 rounds. The top four teams in each of the two groups advance to the quarterfinals.
