HŠK Građanski Zagreb
HŠK Građanski (alternatively spelled ''Gradjanski'' or ''Gradanski''), also known as 1. HŠK Građanski or fully ''Prvi hrvatski građanski športski klub'' (), was a Croatian football club established in Zagreb in 1911 and dissolved in 1945. The club had a huge influence on the development of football in Croatia and Kingdom of Yugoslavia and achieved its greatest success in the period between the two World Wars. History The golden era In 1911, when Croatia was still part of Austria-Hungary, Građanski was founded in Zagreb by Andrija Mutafelija and a few of his friends in response to rumors that a football club that was meant to play in the Hungarian football league (as opposed to the Croatian Sports Union) was about to be established in the city. Stadion Koturaška
Stadion Koturaška, also referred to as Građanski Stadium () was a football stadium in Zagreb, Croatia. It was located at Koturaška Road () in today's Trnje neighbourhood and was home to the football club Građanski Zagreb for more than 20 years, from 1924 to 1945. After World War II and the dissolution of Građanski it was taken over by the newly formed NK Dinamo Zagreb who used is as their home ground until 1948 when they moved to their present-day home at Stadion Maksimir, which had been used by HAŠK before the war. Koturaška was eventually abandoned and demolished in the early 1950s. Márton Bukovi
Márton Bukovi (10 December 1903 – 2 February 1985) was a Hungarian association football player and manager. After playing for Ferencvárosi TC, FC Sète and Hungary, he became a coach, most notably with Građanski Zagreb, MTK Hungária and the Hungary national team. Together with Béla Guttmann and Gusztáv Sebes, he formed a trio of innovative Hungarian coaches who pioneered the 4–2–4 formation. Career Bukovi began his coaching career with Građanski Zagreb in 1935, and subsequently guided the club to two Yugoslav and two Croatian league titles. After the Second World War, Građanski was banned and replaced with Dinamo Zagreb and Bukovi remained on as manager of the new club. In 1947 Bukovi was appointed manager of MTK Hungária FC.
