Hütteldorf (; Central Bavarian: ''Hittldorf'') is a part of Vienna's 14th district, Penzing. It is located in the west of Vienna, in the geographical center of the district, stretching roughly from ''Deutschordenstraße'' (which forms the border to Baumgarten) in the east to ''Wolf in der Au'' in the west, where Hütteldorf borders Hadersdorf-Weidlingau. Vienna U-Bahn
The Vienna U-Bahn () is a rapid transit system serving Vienna, Austria. The five-line network consists of of route, serving 109 stations. 459.8 million passengers rode the U-Bahn in 2019. The modern-day U-Bahn opened on 25 February 1978, after test operations that began on 8 May 1976. Parts of two of the lines, designated U4 and U6, date back to the ''Vienna Stadtbahn, Stadtbahn'' ("city railway") system, which opened in 1898. Parts of the U2 and U6 lines began as subway tunnels built to accommodate earlier tram lines. Only the U1 and U3 were built wholly as new subway lines. Lines are designated by a number and the prefix "U" (for U-Bahn) and identified on station signage and related literature by a colour. There are five lines; U1, U2, U3, U4 and U6. Sportklub Rapid (), commonly known as Rapid Wien or Rapid Vienna in English language, English, is an Football in Austria, Austrian professional football club playing in the country's capital city of Vienna. Gerhard-Hanappi-Stadion
The Gerhard-Hanappi-Stadion was a football stadium in Hütteldorf, in the west of Vienna, Austria. It was the home ground of Rapid Vienna. It was officially opened in 1977 as ''"Weststadion"'' (Western stadium). In 1980 it was renamed to honour its architect, Austrian football player Gerhard Hanappi (1929–1980). Among fans the stadium was also known as ''"Sankt Hanappi"'' (Saint Hanappi), in reference to the fans' slogan ''Rapid ist uns're Religion'' (). The stadium was demolished in 2014 to make way for the new Allianz Stadion, which was opened on 16 July 2016. Baumgarten, Vienna
Baumgarten (Central Bavarian: ''Baamgoatn'') is an area of Vienna's fourteenth district. Until 1891, it was a little village outside the city. Together with the villages Hütteldorf, Penzing, Breitensee and Hadersdorf-Weidlingau it became Vienna's 14th district. Baumgarten was first mentioned in 1200, but probably existed already in earlier times. It was originally subdivided in Ober- and Unterbaumgarten (the upper part and the lower part). In 1850, the two parts were merged into one community. Until the 19th century, it had a very rural character with farms and vineyards and it was a popular summer holiday retreat for the citizens of Vienna. Some of the richer summer guests had built nice summer residences in this area. One of them was known as the "Baumgarten Castle", which was demolished in 1890 and a school was built instead. West Railway (Austria)
The Western Railway () is a two-track, partly four-track, electrified railway line in Austria that runs from Vienna to Salzburg via St. Pölten and Linz Hauptbahnhof and is one of the major lines of Austria. It was originally opened as the '' Empress Elisabeth Railway'' in 1858 (Vienna–Linz). The line is owned and operated by Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB). Central Bavarian
Central or Middle Bavarian form a subgroup of Bavarian dialects in large parts of Austria and the German state of Bavaria along the Danube river, on the northern side of the Eastern Alps.
