''Free Man'' () is a 2011 Turkish biographical film, co-written, produced and directed by Mehmet Tanrısever, starring Mürşit Ağa Bağ as Muslim scholar Said Nursî. The film, which opened on at number 2 in the Turkish box office, had a gala premiere on at the Türker İnanoğlu Maslak (TİM) Show Center in Istanbul. Production Director Mehmet Tanrısever returned to filmmaking after a 20-year break to make the film, stating that, "I first started filmmaking because I wanted to express an idea. Mehmet Tanrısever (born 1953 in Konya, Turkey) is a Turkish people, Turkish filmmaker and businessman, who is best known as the founder of Feza Film, which produced his films ''Abdullah from Minye'' (1989), ''The Exile (1992 film), The Exile'' (1992) and ''Free Man (film), Free Man'' (2011). Originally an industrialist by profession, Mehmet Tanrısever became a producer in 1989 with the establishment of Feza Film, stating that, "I first started filmmaking because I wanted to express an idea". When ''Abdullah from Minye'' (1989), the first film he produced, broke box-office records, he was compelled to make the move into directing.
