Høgtunga is a mountain in Lesja Municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. The tall mountain lies within the Dovrefjell-Sunndalsfjella National Park, about north of the village of Lesja. The mountain lies in the Dovrefjell mountains. It is surrounded by a number of other notable mountains, including Lågvasstinden which is about to the east, Vesltverråtinden and Stortverråtinden which are about to the southeast, Sjongshøi which is about to the south, Sørhellhøin which is about to the southwest, Sørhellhøi which is about to the west, Eggekollan which is about to the north, and Salhøa which is about to the northeast. Innlandet
Innlandet is a Counties of Norway, county in Norway. It was created on 1 January 2020 with the merger of the old counties of Oppland and Hedmark (Jevnaker Municipality and Lunner Municipality were transferred to the neighboring county of Viken (Norwegian county), Viken on the same date). The new county has an area of , making it the largest county in Norway after the division of the old Troms og Finnmark county in 2024. The region was known as Opplandene or Opplanda since the middle ages. Historically part of Akershus, Oplandene County existed from 1757 to 1781, when it was divided into Christians County and Hedemarken County, also known as Western and Eastern Oplandene. In 1919 the two counties were renamed Oppland and Hedmark, and in 2020 they were again merged under the name Innlandet (with the exception of Jevnaker Municipality and Lunner Municipality, which went to the new county of Viken (county), Viken). Vesltverråtinden is a mountain in Lesja Municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. The tall mountain lies within Dovrefjell-Sunndalsfjella National Park, about north of the village of Lesja. The mountain Stortverråtinden immediately to the northeast of this mountain. Salhøa
Salhøa is a mountain in Dovrefjell–Sunndalsfjella National Park in Norway. The tall mountain is located on the border between Sunndal Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county and Lesja Municipality in Innlandet county. Salhøa is reached most easily by hiking from Grøvudalen in the north. There are three large surrounding mountains, all within , including the tall Grøvudalstinden to the west, the tall Steinkollen to the north, and the tall Storskrymten to the northwest. Other nearby mountains include Skuleggen to the east, Drugshøi to the southeast, and Lågvasstinden to the southwest. Lesja (village)
Lesja is the administrative centre of Lesja Municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. The village is located in the upper Gudbrandsdalen valley, along the river Gudbrandsdalslågen, about northwest of the larger village of Dombås. The European route E136 highway and the Raumabanen railway line both pass through the village, with the railway line stopping at the Lesja Station. Lesja Church is located in the village. The village had a population (2019) of 226 and a population density of . Since 2019, the population and area data for this village area has not been separately tracked by Statistics Norway.
