Hélio Waldman
Hélio Waldman is a Brazilian scientist best known for his work as rector of the Universidade Federal do ABC, UFABC (2010–2014) and as dean of research at the Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Unicamp (1986–1990). Currently working as a researcher and rector of UFABC. Universidade Federal Do ABC
Federal University of ABC (, UFABC) is a Brazilian federal public institution of higher learning based in Santo André and São Bernardo do Campo, municipalities belonging to the ABC region, both in the state of São Paulo. UFABC is the only federal university in Brazil with 100% of its professors holding PhDs and, for the second consecutive year in 2011, emerged as the only university in Brazil with impact factor in scientific publications above the world average according to SCImago Institutions Rankings. The University of Campinas (), commonly called Unicamp, is a public research university in the state of São Paulo (state), São Paulo, Brazil.
