Hélder Lopes (tennis)
Hélder Lopes (born 7 August 1977) is a Portuguese former professional tennis player who competed in the ITF Men's Circuit. He achieved his highest singles ranking of 455 in the world by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) in August 2003. Though he played almost his entire career in the minor circuits, Lopes did play singles and doubles events at the Estoril Open between 2000 and 2003. He also entered five Davis Cup ties in 2002 and 2003. Vila Nova de Gaia (; ), or simply Gaia, is a city and a municipality in Porto District in Norte Region, Portugal, Norte Region, Portugal. Miramar, Portugal
Miramar is a small seaside village near the towns of Gulpilhares and Arcozelo, in the municipality of Vila Nova de Gaia, in the subregion of Greater Porto, Portugal (Grande Porto). About It is an upmarket residential area south of the river Douro, most known for its beach – ''Praia de Miramar'' (Miramar Beach) – and the small chapel called ''Senhor da Pedra'' (Lord of the Rock), which forms the central attraction of a yearly festival. This chapel is also featured in the film clip "San Simon", directed by Richard Tomes with music by the Pikoul Sisters. Bernardo Mota
Bernardo Gonçalves Pereira Mota (born 14 July 1971 in Lisbon) is a former tennis player from Portugal, who turned professional in 1991. He represented his native country at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, where he was defeated in the first round by Croatia's Goran Ivanišević. The right-hander reached his highest singles Association of Tennis Professionals, ATP-ranking on 31 March 1997, when he became number 194 of the world. He was most successful in the doubles category, achieving a career-high doubles ranking of World No. 96 in 1997. The highest moment of his career was his only ATP level victory in his home country at the Oporto Open in 1996 with fellow Portuguese player and regular doubles partner Emanuel Couto. Luis Uribe (tennis)
Luis Uribe Orrego (August 13, 1847 – July 17, 1914) was a vice-admiral of the Chilean Navy and a hero of the War of the Pacific. Luis Uribe was born in Copiapó, the son of Juan José Uribe and of Rosario Orrego. He joined the navy on August 20, 1858, at the age of 9, and graduated from the naval academy on July 16, 1861, as a midshipman. His first post was on the "Esmeralda", where he travelled to the extreme south of Chile, to the Juan Fernández Islands and to Peru. Uribe was promoted to ensign (equivalent of army's Second Lieutenant) in 1869, and the next year participated on a scientific expedition to Easter Island, where they prepared a topographic study. In 1872, he was sent as part of a naval mission to England, under command of Admiral José Anacleto Goñi, who was in charge of contracting the construction of 3 new ships. António Van Grichen
António van Grichen (born October 3, 1978) is a tennis coach, best known for being the former coach of former WTA World No. 1 Victoria Azarenka. He has also coached Vera Zvonareva, Ana Ivanovic, and Jarmila Gajdošová, and as of August 2014, is the current coach of Marcos Baghdatis. Coaching career Van Grichen started coaching Victoria Azarenka in 2005, when she was the World No. 1 at junior level (World No. 220 overall). During this time, Azarenka reached the world's Top 10 and won what was, at the time, the biggest title of her career, by defeating Serena Williams in the final of the 2009 Miami Masters. That year, she reached her first two Grand Slam quarter-finals, at the French Open and Wimbledon, losing to Dinara Safina and Williams respectively.
