Héctor Rodríguez (baseball)
Héctor Antonio Rodríguez Ordeñana (June 13, 1920 – September 1, 2003) was a Cuban Major League Baseball third baseman and shortstop for one season () with the Chicago White Sox. His natural position was shortstop, but he had the misfortune to be with the White Sox while Chico Carrasquel played the position, followed by all-time great Luis Aparicio. A native of Alquízar, Cuba, Rodríguez played in the Negro league baseball, Negro leagues with the New York Cubans in and , and in the Mexican League, in – prior to the integration of organized baseball. Professional Career Before the season, Rodríguez was acquired by the Brooklyn Dodgers from the Tuneros de San Luis Potosí of the Mexican League. Luis Ernesto Aparicio Montiel (born April 29, 1934), nicknamed "Little Louie", is a Venezuelans, Venezuelan former professional baseball player. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) as a shortstop from 1956 to 1973 for three American League (AL) teams, most prominently as a member of the Chicago White Sox. In baseball, hit by pitch (HBP) is an event in which a batter or his clothing or equipment (other than his bat) is struck directly by a pitch from the pitcher; the batter is called a hit batsman (HB). A hit batsman is awarded first base, provided that (in the plate umpire's judgment) he made an honest effort to avoid the pitch, although failure to do so is rarely called by an umpire. A base on balls (BB), better known as a walk, occurs in baseball when a batter receives four pitches during a plate appearance that the umpire calls '' balls'', and is in turn awarded first base without the possibility of being called out. Glenn Richard "Rocky" Nelson (November 18, 1924 – October 31, 2006) was an American professional baseball first baseman who played in Major League Baseball for all or parts of nine seasons between and for the St. Louis Cardinals, Pittsburgh Pirates, Chicago White Sox, Brooklyn Dodgers and Cleveland Indians. Tuneros De San Luis Potosí
The Tuneros de San Luis Potosí (English: San Luis Potosí Prickly Pear Pickers) were a professional baseball team in the Mexican League based in San Luis Potosí, Mexico. The club played during 16 seasons spanning 1946–2006. The first Tuneros team played from 1946 through 1952 in the Mexican League. After 13 years of absence, another club with a similar name played in the Mexican Central League from 1960–1962 and once more in 1971. Then, they joined the expanded Mexican League from 1986–1990; played as the Reales de San Luis Potosí in 1991, and again as the Tuneros from 2004–2006.
