Hébertville
Hébertville () is a municipality (Quebec), municipality in Quebec, Canada. History Hébertville was founded in 1849 and is named for the priest Nicolas-Tolentin Hébert (1810-1888), the son of Jean-Baptiste Hébert, a Patriot representative jailed in Montreal in 1837. It was the first establishment to be colonised in the Lac Saint-Jean area. This municipality offered a future development near the Aulnaies Falls, situated at the heart of the village. At this location, saw and flour mills were constructed to provide work and food for the first inhabitants. Jonquière () is a federal electoral district in Quebec, Canada, that was represented in the House of Commons of Canada from 1979 to 2004 and again from the 2015 election onward. This riding was created in 1976 from parts of Lapointe and Montmorency ridings. It was abolished in 2003 when it was redistributed into Jonquière—Alma and Chicoutimi—Le Fjord ridings. Métabetchouan–Lac-à-la-Croix is a City (Quebec), city in Quebec, Canada, in the Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean region. The city consists of the population centres of Métabetchouan, on the shores of Lac Saint-Jean at the mouth of the small Couchepaganiche River, and Lac-à-la-Croix, a few kilometres to the east on Cross Lake. History Historically the territory of the indigenous Innu, the first European, Jesuit Jean de Quen, visited the place in 1647, followed by Charles Albanel in 1671, during the meeting of twenty Indian nations. Five years later in 1676, a trading post and mission were established there. Larouche () is a municipality in Quebec, Canada, part of Le Fjord-du-Saguenay Regional County Municipality.
