Hungária (band)
Hungária was a Hungarian pop-rock band formed by singer/guitarist/keyboardist Miklós Fenyő in 1967. Despite periodic suppression by the Hungarian Communist regime, by the early 1980s Hungária was one of the country's most popular bands. History Miklós Fenyő had lived in the United States for a time. He entered the Hungarian music scene in 1962 and started his own band Syconor in 1964. In 1967 he formed a songwriting partnership with lyricist István S. Nagy, and formed Hungária as an outlet for his songs. The earliest Hungária songs were in the style of beat music. In 1968 the band won the televised talent competition '' Ki mit tud?''. In the following years, the band moved toward psychedelic rock and hard rock. Their first album ''Koncert a marson'' (''Concert on Mars'') was released in 1970. The band then experienced many lineup changes, with Fenyő as the only consistent member. Dolly Roll
Dolly Roll was a Hungarian pop band, established in 1983 from ex-members of the band Hungária. Their first LP, ''Vakáció-ó-ó'' sold 250,000 copies within two months. In 1984, they went on a tour in Hungary, performing in 50 places. They released a new album every year. In both 1986-87 and 1992 the band went through some changes in membership. In 1998, they held a concert in Budapest Sportcsarnok. In 2017, their lead singer, Maria "Dolly" Penczi, announced that the band would stop performing. Throughout their first thirty years, they sold more than five million records. Ferenc Puskás Stadium
The Ferenc Puskás Stadium (), or formerly People's Stadium (''Népstadion''), was a multi-purpose stadium in the 14th district (Zugló) of Budapest, Hungary. It was situated between the Puskás Ferenc Stadion and the Keleti pályaudvar metro stations. It was used mainly for football matches. The stadium, which was an all-seater, in the 2000s had a safe capacity of 38,652, though its original capacity exceeded 100,000. The stadium was closed in 2016 and demolished in 2017 to give place to the Puskás Aréna. History The first plan of a national stadium were drafted as early as 1896 when there were chances that Budapest would host the first modern Olympic Games. In popular music, a cover version, cover song, remake, revival, or simply cover is a new performance or recording by a musician other than the original performer or composer of the song. Originally, it referred to a version of a song released around the same time as the original in order to compete with it. Now, it refers to any subsequent version performed after the original.
