Humble, Denmark
Humble is a town in south Denmark, located in Langeland Municipality on the island of Langeland in Region of Southern Denmark. It has a population of 604 (1 January 2022). Humble is located about 12 kilometers north of Bagenkop and 14 kilometers south of Rudkøbing. History In the late 19th century, Humble had a doctor's house, a grocery store, and a sawmill. ''Humble Skytte og Forsamlingshus'' that no longer exists, was founded in 1884. A transcript of the house's first protocol is preserved. Humble Station was a stop on the Rudkøbing-Bagenkop train line. The station was built in 1910 and closed in 1962. Facilities The town has a bakery. Humble Inn & Hotel has built seven new rooms in 2008 and can accommodate parties of up to 150 people. Music Efterskolen in Humble has many rehearsal rooms, a recording studio, and a fully equipped orchestra pit to the concert and theater. Region Of Southern Denmark
The Region of Southern Denmark ( da, Region Syddanmark, ; german: Region Süddänemark, ; frr, Regiuun Syddanmark) is an administrative region of Denmark established on Monday 1 January 2007 as part of the 2007 Danish Municipal Reform, which abolished the traditional counties ("amter") and set up five larger regions. At the same time, smaller municipalities were merged into larger units, cutting the number of municipalities from 271 before 1 January 2007 to 98. The reform diminished the power of the regional level dramatically in favor of the local level and the central government in Copenhagen. The Region of Southern Denmark has 22 municipalities. The reform was implemented in Denmark on 1 January 2007, although the merger of the Funish municipalities of Ærøskøbing and Marstal, being a part of the reform, was given the go-ahead to be implemented on Sunday 1 January 2006, one year before the main reform. Municipalities Of Denmark
Denmark is divided into five regions, which contain 98 municipalities ( da, kommuner , sing.: ). The Capital Region has 29 municipalities, Southern Denmark 22, Central Denmark 19, Zealand 17 and North Denmark 11. Statistics Denmark ( da, Danmarks Statistik) is a Danish governmental organization under the Ministry of the Interior and Housing and which reports to the Minister of Economic and Internal Affairs. The organization is responsible for creating statistics on the Danish society, for example employment statistics, trade balance, and demographics. Statistics Denmark makes large use of public registers in the statistical production. Population censuses have been produced entirely from registers since 1981. StatBank is a large statistical database maintained by the central authority of statistics in Denmark. Rudkøbing is a town in Denmark, on the western coast of the island of Langeland. It is the seat of Langeland Municipality, in the Region of Southern Denmark, Southern Denmark Region. The town is located southeast of Svendborg and is connected to Siø through the Siøsund Bridge. Sawmill
A sawmill (saw mill, saw-mill) or lumber mill is a facility where logging, logs are cut into lumber. Modern sawmills use a motorized saw to cut logs lengthwise to make long pieces, and crosswise to length depending on standard or custom sizes (dimensional lumber).
