Hub, Balochistan
Hub () is a city and capital of the Hub District in Pakistan's Balochistan province. It is the 54th largest city of Pakistan by population, according to the 2023 census, and is also Balochistan's fourth-largest city. Hub is an industrial city and its original name was Hub Chowki because once there was a police and customs check post (which is known as chowki in Urdu), named Nakahi. After the development of factories and many other industries, the town was renamed as Hub. It is one of the largest industrial centres of Balochistan, and, because of its proximity to Karachi, is becoming a commuter town of the Karachi metropolitan area. Gadani Beach
Gadani Beach is a beach on the Arabian Sea located near the Hub River and Ras Muari, Cape Monze in Gadani, Hub District, Balochistan, Pakistan. Gadani Beach is the location of Gadani Ship Breaking Yard, Gadani ship-breaking yard, which was once one of the world's largest Ship breaking, ship-breaking yards. DG Cement is a Pakistani building materials company based in Lahore. It is part of Nishat Group. DG Cement operates three plants located in Khairpur, Chakwal, Dera Ghazi Khan, and Hub, Balochistan. 2023 Pakistani Census
The 2023 Census of Pakistan was the detailed enumeration of the Pakistani population and the seventh national census in the country. It was conducted by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics. It was also the first ever digital census to be held in Pakistan, including the first in South Asian history. The census was initially held from 1 March 2023 to 1 April 2023. However, enumeration was later extended several times until 30 May 2023, because of incomplete enumeration in large cities such as Karachi, Lahore, and Faisalabad, where people are more mobile and therefore harder to count, and in remote and rural Balochistan. The extension was also used by PBS officials and census takers for quality reviews, to check if all households and people were properly counted in each area.
