Huang Hengmei
Huang Hengmei (; born December 1940) is a retired lieutenant general (''zhong jiang'') of the People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) of China. He served as commander of the Chengdu Military Region Air Force and the Lanzhou Military Region Air Force. Biography Huang was born in December 1940 in Shuyang, Jiangsu Province. He enlisted in the PLAAF in September 1958. He joined the Chinese Communist Party in December 1961. He served in the 2nd Fighter Division in the Guangzhou Military Region Air Force, starting as a pilot and eventually rose to division commander. He became deputy commander of the PLAAF 7th Corps in May 1983, and commander of the Shanghai Forward Headquarters in May 1988. In January 1991 he was promoted to deputy commander of the Nanjing Military Region Air Force. Chengdu Military Region
The Chengdu Military Region was one of seven military districts and is located in the southwest of the People's Republic of China, covering Chongqing, Sichuan, Yunnan, Guizhou, and the Xizang/Tibet Autonomous Region. It includes some of the area previously within the Kunming Military Region and has its headquarters in Chengdu. It was probably established in 1955. The Tibet Military Region was reduced to the status of a district in 1971. The region was disbanded during the 2015 People's Republic of China military reform and become part of the Western Theater Command. Organisation In 2005, the International Institute for Strategic Studies attributed the region with some 180,000 personnel, with four motorised infantry divisions, one artillery division, two armoured brigades, one artillery brigade, and two anti-aircraft brigades. The People's Liberation Army Air Force, also referred to as the Chinese Air Force () or the People's Air Force (), is the primary aerial warfare service of the People's Liberation Army. The PLAAF controls most of the PLA's air assets, including tactical aircraft, large airlifters, and strategic bombers. Nanjing Military Region
The Nanjing Military Region () was one of the former seven military command regions for the Chinese People's Liberation Army. Its jurisdiction covered all military and armed police located in Anhui, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Fujian, and Shanghai. It also covered Taiwan, which is claimed by the People's Republic of China but administered by the Republic of China. The final head of the region was Cai Yingting. This region is now part of the Eastern Theater Command. The 60th Corps was active in the Nanjing Military Region until disbanded in late 1985. Guangzhou Military Region
The Guangzhou Military Region was from 1955 to 2016 one of the People's Liberation Army PLA Military Regions, located in the south of the People's Republic of China. In May 1949, the Central China (Hua Zhong) Military Region (MR) was formed. In March 1955, it was divided into two, the Guangzhou MR and the Wuhan Military Region. When the Wuhan MR was disbanded in August 1985, its troops stationed around the Hubei province were assigned to the Guangzhou MR. The region was disestablished in 2016 and reorganised as the Southern Theater Command. Just before being disbanded, the Guangzhou MR controlled the Guangdong Province, Guangxi Autonomous Region, Hunan Province, Hubei Province, and the Hainan Province Military Districts. National Chengchi University () is a public research university in Taipei, Taiwan. First established in Nanjing in 1927, the university was subsequently reestablished in 1954 in Taiwan as the first reestablished "National University".
