Hrvaćani, Kotor Varoš
Hrvaćani ( sr-cyrl, Хрваћани) is a village in the Kotor Varoš municipality, Republika Srpska entity, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The center of the settlement is at an altitude of 470 m. Along the village, in the direction northeast–southwest, flows the Hrvaćanska river, a right tributary of the Vrbanja river. Its mouth is below the village Dabovci. According to 2013 preliminary data of the first post-war census, 429 inhabitants were registered. History The word ''Hrvaćani'' in Bosnia was used in olden times as another term for Serbs of Croatia. The name thus denotes a settlement settled and established by Orthodox Serbs from the territory of Croatia. During World War II, the village was a site of Yugoslav Partisan operations. The village was taken by the Chetniks at one point. ICTY
The International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) was a body of the United Nations that was established to prosecute the war crimes that had been committed during the Yugoslav Wars and to try their perpetrators. The tribunal was an ''ad hoc'' court located in The Hague, Netherlands. It was established by Resolution 827 of the United Nations Security Council, which was passed on 25 May 1993. It had jurisdiction over four clusters of crimes committed on the territory of the former Yugoslavia since 1991: grave breaches of the Geneva Conventions, violations of the laws or customs of war, genocide, and crimes against humanity. Yugoslavs
Yugoslavs or Yugoslavians ( sh-Latn-Cyrl, Jugoslaveni/Jugosloveni, Југославени/Југословени; ; ) is an identity that was originally conceived to refer to a united South Slavic people. It has been used in two connotations: the first in a sense of common shared ethnic descent, i.e. panethnic or supraethnic connotation for ethnic South Slavs, and the second as a term for all citizens of former Yugoslavia regardless of ethnicity. Grabovica Massacre
The Grabovica massacre refers to the murders of at least 13 ethnic Croat inhabitants of the village of Grabovica near Jablanica by members of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina (ARBiH) 9th Brigade and other unidentified members of ARBiH on 8 or 9 September 1993. The International Court Tribunal for former Yugoslavia concluded that the number of victims totaled 13, lower than the alleged number of 33, however other sources still maintain this higher figure. Večići
Večići is a village in the Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kotor Varoš municipality of the Republika Srpska region in northwestern Bosnia and Herzegovina. It spread at Večićko polje (Večići's field), nearby the mouth of Cvrcka (in Vrbanja river). Its population was reported to be 300 people in 2009, all of whom were Bosniaks. In 1992 there were 1,110. The narrower region is mainly populated by Serb people. During the Bosnian War, the village was a pocket of Bosniak resistance against the Bosnian Serb forces of Ratko Mladić. Chetniks
The Chetniks,, ; formally the Chetnik Detachments of the Yugoslav Army, and also the Yugoslav Army in the Homeland; and informally colloquially the Ravna Gora Movement, was a Kingdom of Yugoslavia, Yugoslav royalist and Serbian nationalist movement and Guerrilla warfare, guerrilla force in Axis-occupied Yugoslavia.
