Hrant Matevosyan
Hrant Ignati Matevosyan (, 12 February 1935 – 19 December 2002) was an Armenian writer and screenwriter. By the time of his death he was considered Armenia's "most prominent and accomplished contemporary novelist". Biography Hrant Matevosyan was born in 1935 in the village of Ahnidzor, now located in Armenia's Lori Province. He studied in the village school then continued his education at the Pedagogical University of Kirovakan (now Vanadzor). In 1952 he moved to Yerevan where he worked at a printing house. From 1958 until 1962, Matevosyan was a proofreader for the magazine ''Sovetakan Grakanutyun'' ("Soviet Literature") and the newspaper ''Grakan Tert'' ("Literary Newspaper"). Matevosyan started his literary career in 1961 with an essay "Ahnidzor," which was an expression of a new outlook in literature and was not appreciated at first. Harants Anapat Monastery
Harants Anapat Monastery (or The Great Desertof Syunik), an architectural complex in the Syunik province of Armenia, near Halidzor village, on the right bank of the Vorotan River. History The exact time of the establishment is unknown. It is assumed that the monastery was built in 1608–1613.  The founders were archimandrite Sargis of Saghmosavank and priest Kirakos from Trebizond. According to Arakel Davrizhetsi, before that they had left for a vow to Jerusalem, got acquainted with the statutes of deserts- hermitages (religious retreats), then visited Tatev Monastery, Tanahat Monastery. Udi Hrant Kenkulian
Udi Hrant Kenkulian (; ; 1901 – August 29, 1978), often referred to as Udi Hrant (lit. " oud-player Hrant") or as Hrant Emre ("Hrant of the soul") was an oud player of Turkish classical music, and a key transitional figure in its transformation into a contemporary style of popular music. He was an ethnic Armenian citizen of Turkey who spent most of his life in Turkey and wrote most of his lyrics in Turkish. He concurrently composed and performed in Armenian as well, although to a much lesser degree.
