Hot Seat (game Show)
''Hot Seat'' is an American game show which aired on ABC from July 12 to October 22, 1976. The series was created by Merrill Heatter and Robert Quigley, who were known at this point for their hit game shows ''Gambit'' and ''The Hollywood Squares'' among others. Jim Peck was the host, with Kenny Williams as the announcer. Game play Two married couples played against each other one at a time. One of the spouses had to guess what the other would say when asked a round of three questions. The spouse sitting in the "hot seat" would have their emotions measured by an electronic GSR device. Each question would have two choices. The player at the podium would select one answer and the spouse would respond to each choice with a negative response. The arch above the "hot seat" would feature a meter which indicated which answer was more of a lie; the answer that was the most true (the one which had the most lights lit up) was considered the correct answer. The Prospect Studios
The Prospect Studios (also known as ABC Television Center est'') is a lot containing several television studios located at 4151 Prospect Avenue in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles, at the corner of Prospect and Talmadge Street (named in honor of silent screen star Norma Talmadge), just east of Hollywood. For more than fifty years, this facility served as the West Coast headquarters of the American Broadcasting Company (ABC) before the network moved its main headquarters to the Walt Disney Studios in 1996. From 1949 to 1999, ABC-owned Los Angeles television station KABC-TV was also located there. Donald Tai Loy Ho (; August 13, 1930 – April 14, 2007) was a Hawaiian traditional pop musician, singer, and entertainer. ''50 Grand Slam'' is a game show from Ralph Andrews Productions that aired on NBC from October 4 to December 31, 1976. Tom Kennedy hosted the show (although Peter Haskell served as emcee for the unaired pilot), with John Harlan as the announcer. It premiered and ended on the same day as the show that preceded it on the NBC schedule, '' Stumpers!'', which was hosted by Allen Ludden, who appeared at the beginning of the premiere to wish Kennedy luck (Kennedy also appeared on the first episode of ''Stumpers!'' to wish Ludden luck). Merrill Gabriel Heatter (December 16, 1925 – October 8, 2017) was an American television producer and writer. He was best known for his collaboration with writer Bob Quigley for over 20 years and the formation of their production company Heatter-Quigley Productions in 1960. The company was responsible for the game shows ''Hollywood Squares'' and ''Gambit (game show), Gambit'' and the animated television series ''Wacky Races (1968 TV series), Wacky Races''.
