Hostouň (Kladno District)
Hostouň () is a municipality and village in Kladno District in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 1,600 inhabitants. Etymology The name is derived from the personal name Hostoun, meaning "Hostoun's (court)". Geography Hostouň is located about southeast of Kladno and west of Prague. It lies in a flat agricultural landscape in the Prague Plateau. History The first written mention of Hostouň is from 1294. There was a fortress called Šafránov. It used to be a wealthy village with a significant Jewish community. Demographics Transport The D6 motorway (Czech Republic), D6 motorway from Prague to Karlovy Vary passes through the municipality. D6 motorway (), formerly Expressway R6 () is a motorway in the Czech Republic. When completed, it will route from Prague through Karlovy Vary and Cheb, to the border with Germany. Dobrovíz is a municipality and village in Prague-West District in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 600 inhabitants. The village has well preserved folk architecture and is protected as a village monument reservation. Etymology The name is derived from the personal name Dobrovid, meaning "Dobrovid's (court)". Geography Dobrovíz is located about west of Prague. It lies in a flat agricultural landscape of the Prague Plateau. History The first written mention of Dobrovíz is from 1238, when the village was donated to the Zderaz Monastery in what is today Prague-New Town. For a short time, there was a fortress, but it was probably destroyed during the Hussite Wars. From 1447 to 1621, Dobrovíz was owned by the Kolowrat family as a part of the Buštěhrad estate. Středokluky is a municipality and village in Prague-West District in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 1,300 inhabitants. Etymology The word ''středokluky'' referred to people who "alternated arrows" (''střídali kluky'' in old Czech). It probably had a derisive meaning and related to some story. Karlovy Vary

The Prague Plateau () is a plateau and a geomorphological mesoregion of the Czech Republic. It is located in the area of Prague and in the Central Bohemian Region. History The first regions (''kraje'') were created in the Kingdom of Bohemia in the 14th century.
