Horrorscope (Eve 6 Album)
''Horrorscope'' is the second studio album by American rock band Eve 6. It was recorded at NRG Recording Studios in North Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, North Hollywood, California. The album was influenced by Lit (band), Lit's ''A Place in the Sun (Lit album), A Place in the Sun'' (1999). It was released on July 25, 2000, through RCA Records. The neologism "Horrorscope" is not actually used within the album's lyrics; though the chorus of "Sunset Strip Bitch" contains the proper word "horoscope." It is the only Eve 6 album to receive a Parental Advisory sticker. Singles The first single, "Promise", was a hit on alternative rock radio, reaching #3 on the US Alternative Songs, Modern Rock Tracks chart and #25 on the Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks, Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. Around this time, "On the Roof Again" made it to #19 on the Modern Rock Tracks chart. Eve 6, stylized as EVE 6 or EVƎ 6, is an American rock band formed in 1995 in Southern California, best known for its hit singles " Inside Out" and " Here's to the Night". It disbanded in 2004, returned for numerous tours in 2007 with a new lineup, and finally reunited with all three original members in early 2011. It signed to Fearless Records in the spring of that year, and released its fourth album, '' Speak in Code,'' containing the singles "Victoria" and "Curtain", in April 2012. "Leaving on a Jet Plane" is a song written and recorded by American singer John Denver in 1966, originally included on his debut demo recording ''John Denver Sings''. Its original title was "Babe I Hate to Go". He made several copies and gave them out as presents for Christmas of that year. Denver's then-producer Milt Okun convinced him to change the title; it was renamed "Leaving on a Jet Plane" in 1967. In 1969, folk group Peter, Paul and Mary's version hit number one on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100, their most successful single. It also reached number one in Canada and number two in the United Kingdom. Weighted Arithmetic Mean
The weighted arithmetic mean is similar to an ordinary arithmetic mean (the most common type of average), except that instead of each of the data points contributing equally to the final average, some data points contribute more than others. The notion of weighted mean plays a role in descriptive statistics and also occurs in a more general form in several other areas of mathematics.
