Horea, Alba
Horea (formerly ''Arada''; ; ) is a Commune in Romania, commune located in Alba County, Transylvania, Romania. It has a population of 1,774 as of 2021, and is made up of fifteen villages: Baba, Butești, Dârlești, Fericet, Giurgiuț, Horea, Măncești, Mătișești, Niculești, Pătrușești, Petreasa, Preluca, Teiu, Trifești, and Zânzești. The commune is named after Vasile Ursu Nicola, commonly known as Horea, who was born in 1731 in the village of Arada (now Horea), on Fericet Hill, and who led in 1784 the two-month-long peasant rebellion known as the Revolt of Horea, Cloșca and Crișan. Horea commune belongs to the Țara Moților ethnogeographical region. It is nestled within the Apuseni Mountains, between the Bihor Mountains to the west and to the east. Part of the Apuseni Natural Park lies on the administrative territory of the commune. Crasna (Tisza)
The Crasna (Romanian language, Romanian) or Kraszna (Hungarian language, Hungarian) is the name of a river in northwestern Romania and northeastern Hungary. The Crasna is a left tributary of the Tisza. Its source is in Transylvania, Romania, near the village of Crasna, Sălaj, Crasna. It flows through the Romanian counties Sălaj County, Sălaj and Satu Mare County, Satu Mare and the Hungarian county Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg. It flows into the Tisza in Vásárosnamény. Cities along the Crasna are Șimleu Silvaniei in Romania, Nagyecsed and Mátészalka in Hungary. Until the 1890s the Crasna discharged into the river Someș. Sabin Drăgoi
Sabin Vasile Drăgoi (; 6 June 1894 – 31 December 1968) was a Romanian composer, who specialized in folk music. His oeuvre includes orchestral and chamber works, film music and operas. He was born in a peasant family from Seliște, Arad County. After studying at a teachers' seminary in Arad and at the music conservatory in Cluj, he went to the Prague Conservatory, where he studied composition with Vítězslav Novák. From 1924 to 1950 he was professor of composition, harmony, and counterpoint at the conservatories in Timișoara and Bucharest, and from 1940 to 1944 he was the director of the opera house in Timișoara. Vasile Ursu Nicola (1731 in Arada, Principality of Transylvania (now Horea, Romania) – 28 February 1785 in Karlsburg (now Alba Iulia, Romania), commonly known as Horea (in Hungarian sometimes ''Hóra'') was a Transylvanian peasant who, with ("Cloșca") and ("Crișan"), led the two-month-long peasant rebellion that began in the Metaliferi Mountains villages of Curechiu and Mesteacăn in late 1784 and that was known as the Revolt of Horea, Cloșca and Crișan.
