Hopetown, Ohio
Hopetown is an unincorporated community in Ross County, in the U.S. state of Ohio. History Hopetown was originally called Hope, and under the latter name was laid out in 1819. The community took its name from the Hope Mill, a gristmill near the original town site. A post office called Hopetown was established in 1900 and was discontinued that same year. Ross County, Ohio
Ross County is a county in the Appalachian region of the U.S. state of Ohio. As of the 2020 United States Census, the population was 77,093. Its county seat is Chillicothe, the first and third capital of Ohio. Established on August 20, 1798, the county is named for Federalist Senator James Ross of Pennsylvania.
