Holm is a village in Bindal Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. It is located on the Norwegian County Road 17, along the Bindalsfjorden, about northwest of the village of Bindalseidet. Holm is also the site of Solstad Church, one of the two churches in the municipality. Norwegian County Road 17
County Road 17 (), also known as the Coastal Highway (), is a Norwegian highway that runs from the town of Bodø in Nordland county (in the north) to the town of Steinkjer in Trøndelag county (in the south). It is long and includes six ferry crossings. The road runs along the coast of Nordland and Trøndelag counties through 28 different municipalities. This road is a much more scenic, albeit longer and more time-consuming, route than the inland European Route E6 highway. Prior to 1 January 2010, this was National Road 17 (), but control and maintenance of the road was transferred to the counties from the national government on that date, so now it is a county road. Solstad Church
Solstad Church () is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Bindal Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. It is located along the Bindalsfjorden in the village of Holm, Norway, Holm. It is one of the two churches for the Bindal parish which is part of the Sør-Helgeland prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Sør-Hålogaland. The white, wooden church was built in a long church style in 1888 using plans drawn up by the architect Ole Scheistrøen. The church seats about 300 people. History The earliest existing historical records of the church date back to the year 1641, but the church was likely built long before that time. The first church at Solstad was built about to the northeast of the present church site in Holm, Norway, Holm.
