High on Fire is an American heavy metal band from Oakland, California, that was formed in 1998. Matt Pike, the band's frontman and founder, also plays guitar for Sleep. High on Fire won the 2019 Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance with their song "Electric Messiah". The band has released nine studio albums, with their newest, '' Cometh the Storm'', released in 2024. Hof Ásatrúarfélagsins is a religious building under construction in Reykjavík, Iceland. When finished it will be used by the Heathen organization Ásatrúarfélagið for religious ceremonies, concerts, exhibitions and administrative work. It is Iceland's first major hof to the Norse gods since the Viking Age. It is located on the southern slope of the hill Öskjuhlíð, close to Reykjavík University. The project has been under development since 2005, but has been delayed several times because of the 2008–2011 Icelandic financial crisis and problems with the design. Hof is a village in Holmestrand Municipality in Vestfold county, Norway. The village is located about northwest of the Holmestrand (town), town of Holmestrand, about southwest of the village of Sande, Vestfold, Sande i Vestfold, and about south of the village of Eidsfoss. Hof Municipality (Vestfold)
Hof is a former municipality in Vestfold county, Norway. The municipality existed from 1838 until its dissolution in 2018. The area is now part of Holmestrand Municipality in the traditional district of Jarlsberg. The administrative centre was the village of Hof. Other villages in the municipality included Eidsfoss and Sundbyfoss. General information The parish of Hof was established as a municipality on 1 January 1838 (see formannskapsdistrikt law). The borders of the municipality were never changed. On 1 January 2018, Hof Municipality was merged into the neighboring Holmestrand Municipality.
