Hodžić
Hodžić (, ) is a common family name found in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Croatia, Serbia and Slovenia. It is derived from the word ''hodža'', meaning "master/lord", itself a Turkish loanword (''hoca'') of ultimately Persian origin (''khawaja''). Its literal meanings are "little hodža" or "son of the hodža". Its bearers are predominantly Bosniaks. Adnan Hodžić
Adnan Hodžić (born 6 December 1988) is a Bosnian-American former professional basketball player. A 6'8" power forward, Hodžić played college basketball for Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee. Hodžić is notable both for winning the Atlantic Sun Conference Atlantic Sun Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Year, Player of the Year and for leading the NCAA in field goal percentage as a junior in the 2009–10 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. High school career Hodžić and his family emigrated from war-torn Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1994 after Adnan needed treatment for an eye injury sustained while playing with a friend. Fikret Hodžić
Fikret Hodžić (26 June 1953 – 9 July 1992) was a professional Bosnian bodybuilder. Hodžić competed during the 1970s and 1980s representing the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. Hodžić began bodybuilding in 1973. He was inspired by Petar Čelik. He briefly had to stop training while completing mandatory military service. Hodžić was the bodybuilding champion of Yugoslavia for 15 consecutive years spanning 1976–1991. He founded the first bodybuilding club in Bosnia and Herzigovina, Partizan, in 1975. During the war he was killed near his home in Trnopolje in Bosnia and Herzegovina by a Serbian soldier, a former student of his. His wife and two children sought refuge in Austria. Adrijana Hodžić (, ; born 1975) is a Kosovar politician of Bosniak ethnicity who is currently serving as the Deputy Mayor of North Mitrovica since 10 December 2020. Prior to this she served as the Minister of Administration and Local Government of Kosovo from 12 April 2019 to 3 February 2020. Selver Hodžić (born 12 October 1978) is a Bosnian-Herzegovinian and Swiss former professional footballer who played as a defender. He is currently the manager of the Bosnia and Herzegovina women's national team. Šefka Hodžić (born 1943; fate unknown) was a Bosnian woman convicted of the 1969 murder of her pregnant friend Alija Hasanović. The brutality of the murder has earned Hodžić the title of one of the most "monstrous" women in Bosnian history. Background For months before the killing, since childless Hodžić had learned of her friends pregnancy, she began stuffing her shirts to appear pregnant, indicating premeditation. Tarik Hodžić (born 1 December 1951) is a Bosnian retired footballer. Playing career Born in Sarajevo, Hodžić started playing football with hometown club Željezničar's youth team. In 1970, he signed his first professional contract with the club, but was loaned out to Famos Hrasnica. He played there for three seasons. After he was the topscorer of the Yugoslav Second League in 1973 with 28 goals, he then returned to Željezničar where he played for two seasons. After that, Hodžić played for Olimpija Ljubljana and then moved to Velež Mostar where he spent two seasons. He went abroad and signed with Belgian side RFC de Liège where he was the best goalscorer.
