Hloubětín (Prague)
Hloubětín (, ) is a district of Prague located from the centre, belonging mostly to Prague 9, with parts of it also belonging to Prague 14 and Prague 10. There were 10,704 people living in this area in 2001. The area, first recorded in the 13th century due to presence of the Teutonic Knights, became part of Prague in 1922. Today it is mainly an industrial area, located on the edge of Prague's so-called ''průmyslový polookruh'' (industrial semi-circle). During communist times, Hloubětín was well known as the home of the Tesla (Czechoslovak company), Tesla company. Etymology The name "Hloubětín" derives from the surname ''Hlúpata'', and was previously known as ''Lupatin'', ''Glupetin'', ''Hlupetin'' and ''Hloupětín'' before becoming Hloubětín in 1907. Prague has a local-government structure of two or three tiers, depending on the area of town. Hloubětín () is a Prague Metro station on Line B, located in the eponymous district. It was opened on 15 October 1999 as an addition to the previously opened section of Line B. Pardubice
Pardubice (; ) is a city in the Czech Republic. It has about 92,000 inhabitants. It is the capital city of the Pardubice Region and lies on the Elbe River. R10 Expressway (Czech Republic)
D10 motorway () is a motorway in the Czech Republic, running north-east, from Prague to Mladá Boleslav and Turnov. It forms part of the European route E65. Chronology The construction of today's D10 motorway began in 1967 with the construction of an long section between Bezděčín and Chudoplesy. The sections leading away from Prague have been built since the 1970s, and at that time, it was planned to build the expressway to the Polish. As part of a reassessment of the concept of motorway and expressway construction carried out in 1993, the plans for a continuation from Turnov, towards Harrachov and towards the Polish border were removed. Thus, it is considered to be the first completed expressway in the Czech Republic. The motorway, formerly known as R10 Expressway () was officially redesignated as the D10 on 1 January 2016. D11 Motorway (Czech Republic)
The D11 motorway () is a motorway in the Czech Republic. It is part of European route E67 ''Via Baltica'' from Prague in the Czech Republic, to Helsinki in Finland, passing towns and cities in Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. Three lanes in each direction are planned by 2025 between Prague and Jirny (8 km) and to Poděbrady after 2025. Around Hradec Králové, the D11 runs in parallel with the D35 (between the Sedlice and the Plotiště interchanges). History Plans to build a highway connecting Prague and Hradec Králové date from 1938. TESLA a.s. is a Czech manufacturer and supplier of special radio communication and security electrical engineering for military and commercial use. The name was originally used by a state-owned conglomerate that was the monopoly producer of electronic appliances and components in the former Socialist Republic of Czechoslovakia.
