Boykos
The Boykos or Boikos (; ; ; ), or simply Highlanders (; ), are an ethnolinguistic group located in the Carpathian Mountains of Ukraine, Slovakia, Hungary, and Poland. ''Highlander'' is a media franchise created by Gregory Widen. The series began with ''Highlander (film), Highlander'', a 1986 fantasy film starring Christopher Lambert, who played Connor MacLeod, the eponymous Highlander. There have been four theatrical ''Highlander'' films, one made-for-TV film, two live-action television series, an animated television series, an Highlander: The Search for Vengeance, anime film, original novels, comic books, and various licensed merchandise. The main character of the series, Connor MacLeod, was born in Glenfinnan in the Scottish Highlands in the 16th century, and is one of a number of Immortal (Highlander), immortals empowered by an energy called the Quickening and only able to die if beheaded. ''Highlander'' is a 1986 fighting game developed by Canvas and published by Ocean Software for the ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64, and Amstrad CPC home computers. It is based on the 1986 film of the same name. ''Highlander'' was panned by reviewers. Gameplay Highlander is an arcade fighting game in which the player controls one of two swordsmen. In the single-player mode, the player plays as Connor MacLeod and must fight three opponents in one-on-one combat: his mentor Ramírez, then Fizir (named Fasil in the film), before finally facing The Kerghan (named The Kurgan in the film). In each fight the objective is to reduce the opponent's health to zero, at which point he is beheaded and the player wins the fight. A two-player mode is also available. The Raven
"The Raven" is a narrative poem by American writer Edgar Allan Poe. First published in January 1845, the poem is often noted for its musicality, stylized language and supernatural atmosphere. It tells of a distraught lover who is paid a visit by a mysterious raven that repeatedly speaks a single word. The lover, often identified as a student,Meyers, 163Silverman, 239 is lamenting the loss of his love, Lenore. Sitting on a bust of Pallas, the raven seems to further antagonize the protagonist with its repetition of the word "nevermore". The poem makes use of folk, mythological, religious, and classical references.
