Hezly Rivera
Hezly Rivera (born June 4, 2008) is an American artistic gymnast. She was a member of the silver medal-winning team at the 2023 Junior World Championships. Additionally she is the 2023 Junior World silver medalist on floor exercise. Early life Rivera was born in Hackensack, New Jersey in 2008 to Henry Rivera and Heidy Ruiz, and raised in nearby Oradell. Gymnastics career Junior 2022 Rivera competed at the 2022 Winter Cup where she placed third in the all-around. As a result, she was selected to compete at the DTB Pokal Team Challenge. While there she helped the USA win gold. In July Rivera competed at the U.S. Classic where she finished second in the all-around behind Jayla Hang. Additionally she won gold on balance beam, silver on floor exercise, and finished fourth on vault. Gymnastics career Perotti began gymnastics when she was five years old. Junior 2022 Perotti made her international debut at the 2022 Tournoi International in Combs-la-Ville, France. She won the gold medal in the all-around by over a point ahead of the silver medalist. In the event finals, she won the gold medals on the uneven bars and balance beam, and she finished fifth on the floor exercise. Additionally, the Italian team won the gold medal. Gymnastics Floor
In gymnastics, the floor is a specially prepared exercise surface, which is considered an apparatus. It is used by both male and female gymnasts. The gymnastics event performed on the floor is called floor exercise. The English abbreviation for the event in gymnastics scoring is FX. A spring floor is used in all of gymnastics to provide more bounce, and also help prevent potential injuries to lower extremity joints of gymnasts due to the nature of the apparatus, which includes the repeated pounding required to train it. Cheerleading also uses spring floors for practice. The sprung floor used for indoor athletics, however, is designed to reduce bounce.
