Hershey's Miniatures are packaged assortments of miniature-sized candy bars sold by The Hershey Company. Description Hershey's Miniatures were first introduced as an assortment in 1939, featuring the five most popular Hershey candy bars of the period: Hershey bars, Krackel bars, Mr. Goodbars, Bitter-Sweet now called Hershey's Special Dark, and a fifth-bar, Hershey's Nougat-Almond. Krackel
Krackel is a chocolate bar with crisped rice pieces made by The Hershey Company and first introduced on September 14, 1938. Overview Krackel contains milk chocolate and crisped rice. Krackel originally sold as an individual chocolate bar product until 1997, and for 17 years it was available only as one of the four varieties of Hershey's Miniatures until it was reintroduced as an individual candy bar in 2014. The full-sized version has since been re-discontinued, and it is now available only in the miniature version again. Hershey's Special Dark is a chocolate bar manufactured by The Hershey Company. History In 1894, before the introduction of the milk chocolate Hershey bar in 1900, the Hershey Chocolate Company manufactured and marketed "vanilla sweet chocolate" a semi-sweet chocolate. This bar has been described as the "first" American candy bar. The bite-sized pieces of chocolate have a distinctive conical shape, sometimes described as flat-bottomed Drop (liquid), teardrops. Jolly Rancher is an American brand of sweet hard candy, gummies, jelly beans, lollipops, sour bites, and a line of soda put out by Elizabeth Beverage Company in 2004. It is currently manufactured by The Hershey Company. History Bill and Dorothy Harmsen founded the Jolly Rancher Company in 1949, choosing the name to give the impression of a friendly Western company, and opened their first Jolly Rancher Ice Cream Store in Golden, Colorado on May 28, 1949.
