Herbert B. Leonard
Herbert Breiter Leonard (October 8, 1922 – October 14, 2006) was an American producer and writer. Leonard was a production manager at Screen Gems for many years. Leonard produced and was the production manager for many of the television shows produced for Screen Gems which included ''The Adventures of Rin Tin Tin'', ''Circus Boy'', '' Naked City'', and ''Route 66''. Early life Leonard was born on October 8, 1922, in New York, New York, the younger of two sons of Morton and Rhoda Leonard. His older brother was Roger Kallman Leonard. His parents were both Jewish. He went to New York University in which he played football. Shortly after he graduated from New York University, he was drafted into the military where he served during the Second World War. ''Going Home'' is a 1971 drama film directed by Herbert B. Leonard and starring Robert Mitchum, Brenda Vaccaro and Jan-Michael Vincent, who was nominated for a Golden Globe award for best supporting actor. Plot Harry Graham (Mitchum) is a lonely and beaten-down man who has recently been released from prison after serving time for murdering his wife 13 years earlier. His son, Jimmy (Vincent), who witnessed the slaying as a child, is still haunted by the crime and wants to confront his father about it. Jimmy tracks Harry to a run-down seashore community and finds him living in a trailer park with his girlfriend Jenny ( Vaccaro). ''The Perils of Pauline'' is a 1967 American comedy film based on the movie serial of the same name. Inspired by the ''Batman'' TV series, with the same kind of florid villainy and dauntless heroics, this TV pilot starred Pamela Austin, best known for her appearances in Dodge commercials at the time (urging viewers to "Join the Dodge Rebellion!"), as Pauline, with Pat Boone as her staunch protector. The pilot did not find a sponsor or a network, and the three sample shows were compiled into a theatrical feature film and released by Universal Pictures. Alan Wolf Arkin (March 26, 1934 – June 29, 2023) was an American actor, filmmaker and musician.
