Hera Björk
Hera Björk Þórhallsdóttir (; born 29 March 1972) is an Icelandic singer. She is known for Iceland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2010, representing Iceland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 with the song "Je ne sais quoi (song), Je ne sais quoi", where she finished 19th in the Grand Final, and at the Viña del Mar International Song Festival 2013 with the song "Because You Can", where she won in the Best Song category. She was selected among the contestants of Söngvakeppnin 2024, the Icelandic national final for the Eurovision Song Contest 2024, with the song "Við förum hærra" / "Scared of Heights". She qualified for the final and won with the English version, with which she represented Iceland in the contest for a second time, failing to qualify from the first semi-final on 7 May 2024, placing 15th out of 15 with 3 points. Denmark In The Eurovision Song Contest 2009
Denmark was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 with the song "Believe Again" written by Lars Halvor Jensen, Martin Michael Larsson and Ronan Keating. The song was performed by Brinck. The Danish broadcaster DR organised the national final ''Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2009'' in order to select the Danish entry for the 2009 contest in Moscow, Russia. Ten songs competed in a televised show where the winner was selected over three rounds of voting. Timoteij were a Swedish ethnopop group established in 2008. The group originally consisted of Cecilia Kallin, Bodil Bergström, Elina Thorsell, and Johanna Pettersson, all born in 1991. Pettersson left the group in 2014. History Timoteij participated in the Swedish Melodifestivalen 2010 with their debut single " Kom" written by Karl Eurén, Gustav Eurén and Niklas Arn. Sjonni's Friends () were an Icelandic tribute band also known at times as Sigurjón's Friends. The band formed in early 2011 when the Icelandic singer Sjonni Brink (real name Sigurjón Brink) died just days before he was to perform his entry " Aftur heim" at Söngvakeppni Sjónvarpsins, the Icelandic national final for the Eurovision Song Contest 2011.
