Henry Donnel Foster
Henry Donnel Foster (December 19, 1808 – October 16, 1880) was an American lawyer and politician who served three terms as a Democratic member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Pennsylvania from 1843 to 1847, and from 1871 to 1873. Early life Henry Donnel Foster was born on December 19, 1808, in Mercer, Pennsylvania, to Samuel Foster. His mother's maiden name was Donnell. His father was a lawyer. Foster pursued classical studies and graduated from the College of Meadville. He studied law, was admitted to the bar in 1829. Career After graduating, Foster commenced practice in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. He worked as a solicitor for the Pennsylvania Railroad. Congress Foster was elected as a Democrat to the Twenty-eighth and Twenty-ninth Congresses. The electoral district of Gippsland East is an electoral district of the Victorian Legislative Assembly. It covers most of eastern Victoria, Australia, Victoria and includes the towns of Bairnsdale, Victoria, Bairnsdale, Lakes Entrance, Victoria, Lakes Entrance, Orbost, Victoria, Orbost, Omeo, Victoria, Omeo, Maffra and Heyfield. Brave New World
''Brave New World'' is a dystopian novel by English author Aldous Huxley, written in 1931, and published in 1932. Largely set in a futuristic World State, whose citizens are environmentally engineered into an intelligence-based social hierarchy, the novel anticipates huge scientific advancements in reproductive technology, sleep-learning, psychological manipulation and classical conditioning that are combined to make a dystopian society which is challenged by the story's protagonist. Henry Foster (scientist)
Henry Foster (1797 – 5 February 1831) was a Royal Navy, British naval officer and scientist who took part in expeditions to both the Arctic and Antarctic, and made notable scientific contributions to studies of the figure of the earth and the earth's magnetic field. Career Foster was the eldest son of the Rev. Henry Foster of Woodplumpton, Lancashire. He joined the Royal Marines in 1812, serving first aboard . In 1817 he joined in which he surveyed the mouth of the Columbia River. In 1819 he joined HMS ''Creole'', and carried out a survey of the north shore of the Río de la Plata. From 1820-1822 he served on , commanded by Basil Hall, first as midshipman, then as Master's mate, on a yoyage to South America.
