Finspång
Finspång () is a locality and the seat of Finspång Municipality, Östergötland County, Sweden with 12,440 inhabitants in 2010. Overview Finspång is a traditional industrial town. The first industries were established in 1580 when a Royal factory for cannon and cannon balls was chartered. The industry was to continue for 300 years under supervision of the Walloon/ Dutch family De Geer. Anders Qvarfordt was employed by Count Louis de Geer. His assignment was "to lodge and feed the Count de Geers Vallon blacksmiths". Finspång Castle was built by Louis De Geer (1622–1695), and around it industries and an orangery developed into the town of Finspång. In the late 19th century Bofors steel works, which initially supplied forgings and castings to the factory, started to expand into the weapons business. Stig Olin, né ''Högberg'' (11 September 1920 – 28 June 2008) was a Sweden, Swedish actor, theatre director, songwriter and singer. He was the father of actress Lena Olin and singer :sv: Mats Olin (artist), Mats Olin (1947–2023). He was married to film actresses Britta Holmberg and Helena Kallenbäck. Babels Hus
Babels is an international network of volunteer interpreters and translators that was born out of the European Social Forum (ESF) process and whose main objective is to cover the interpreting needs of the various Social Forums. It is a horizontal, non-hierarchical network, with no permanent structures of any kind. Babels originated in the process of preparation for the 2002 ESF, a left-wing conference of the anti-globalization movement held in Florence. A small network of 'communication activists' associated with ATTAC France proposed that the conference use only volunteers to interpret the various languages of the speakers for the audience. There was some debate about the quality of volunteer translators but the cost of professionals helped sway the argument. A last-minute call went out for volunteers to which 600 people responded and which finally resulted in around 350 volunteer interpreters and translators for the Forum. ''Kan du vissla Johanna?'' ("Can You Whistle Johanna?") is a Swedish TV film which originally aired on Sveriges Television on 24 December 1994, based on the screenwriter Ulf Stark's 1992 book of the same name. Since 1994 it has been traditionally broadcast every Christmas Eve in Sweden. The title comes from a 1932 song with the same name by Åke Söderblom and Sten Axelson. Plot The film takes place during the 1950s. Berra, a 7-year-old boy, wishes for a grandfather who he can love, who can invite him for coffee and who can teach him how to whistle. Tre Kronor (TV Series)
''Tre kronor'' is a Sweden, Swedish soap opera that aired on TV4 (Sweden), TV4 during the period 1994–1999. The series took place in the fictional middle class suburb ''Mälarviken'', located in the vicinity of Stockholm. The exteriors were filmed in Sätra, a suburb of Stockholm, and the interiors were filmed in a studio in Kvarnholmen (Nacka), Kvarnholmen as well as in Kungens Kurva. TV4 started ''Tre kronor'' in 1994 to compete for the viewers of SVT series ''Rederiet''. Both shows aired in the same time slot and both had around 1-2 million viewers. The signature tune was written by Lasse Holm. The Spin-off (media), spin-off movie ''Reine & Mimmi i fjällen!'' was based on two of the characters; Reine and Mimmi.
