Heiner Brau
Covington Brewhouse was a brewery in the historic district of downtown Covington, Louisiana. The brewery itself is operated in the old Alexius Hardware building which is situated between the 100-year-old train depot, the landmark water tower, and the city's trailhead park. The brewery produces year round beers including Pontchartrain Pilsner, Bayou Bock, and Strawberry Ale. Several seasonal beers are also manufactured as well as various contract brews for restaurants in Covington, New Orleans, and the surrounding area. The company brewed Dixie beer temporarily following Hurricane Katrina when the Dixie brewing facilities were damaged by the storm. Covington Brewhouse was founded in 2005 as Heiner Brau when it was the third brewery established in Louisiana after Prohibition (following Abita), and Crescent City Brewhouse, established in 1991, by local contractor Fritz Schroth. Madeline Heiner
Madeline Heiner (born 15 May 1987) is an Australian runner. She placed fourth in the women's 3000 metres steeplechase at the 2014 Commonwealth Games. At the 2016 Rio Olympics, she placed 7th in the 3000m steeplechase final and 10th in the 5000m final. She also represented Australia in the 2015 IAAF World Championships (3000m steeplechase, 5000m), 2017 IAAF World Championships (5000m, 10,000m) and the 2018 Commonwealth Games (5000m, 10000m). Biography Heiner was born in Shellharbour, New South Wales on 15 May 1987. She took up running seriously in 2002; as a 17-year-old, she represented Australia in the 1500 metres at the 2004 World Junior Championships in Grosseto, but was eliminated in the heats. Daniel Brodhead Heiner (December 30, 1854 – February 14, 1944) was an American lawyer and politician who served as a two-term Republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Pennsylvania from 1893 to 1897. Biography Daniel Brodhead Heiner, Jr. was born in Kittanning, Pennsylvania, the son of Daniel Brodhead Heiner, Sr. and Mary. G. Graham of Kittanning, Pennsylvania. He attended the public schools at Kittanning, Dayton Academy in Dayton, Pennsylvania, and Dickinson School of Law at Carlisle, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania, in 1879. He was admitted to the bar of Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, in 1882 and commenced practice in Kittanning.
