Heiko Niidas
Heiko Niidas (born 15 March 1983) is a former Estonian professional basketball player. Niidas debuted in Korvpalli Meistriliiga in 2001. He won Estonian league title in 2003, 2005 and 2006 and cup in 2005 and 2006. He belonged to the Estonia men's national basketball team, Estonian national team from 2003 to 2006. Niidas ended his basketball career at the age of 26 due to injuries. Korvpalli Meistriliiga
The Korvpalli Meistriliiga (KML) is the top-tier men's basketball league in Estonia. The league is organized by the Estonian Basketball Association and played under rules of basketball#International Rules of Basketball, FIBA rules. The competition was founded in 1925. From the 1998–99 season until the end of the 2001–02 season the league was organized by the Eesti Korvpalliklubide Assotsiatsioon (English: Estonian Basketball Clubs' Association). As of the 2018–19 season, Estonian-Latvian Basketball League regular season games count towards the KML standings, followed by KML Play-offs. Tallinna Kalev (basketball Club)
Kalev (also known as Tallinn Kalev, Korvpalliklubi Kalev) was a professional basketball club from Tallinn, Estonia. The team played in the Estonian Basketball League and in the Soviet Union Basketball League. Their home arena was Kalev Sports Hall. Kalev was a professional basketball team representing Estonia in Soviet Union Basketball League until 1992; thereafter Kalev was designed like a national team with the best 12 players from all over Estonia.
