Hayden Catholic High School is in Topeka, Kansas, United States. It is located in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas. Extracurricular activities Athletics Athletic teams are called the Wildcats and compete at the 4A level within the Kansas State High School Activities Association. Topeka ( ) is the capital city of the U.S. state of Kansas and the county seat of Shawnee County. Mark Turgeon
Mark Leo Turgeon (born February 5, 1965) is an American college basketball coach. Turgeon served as the head men's basketball coach at Jacksonville State University from 1998 to 2000, Wichita State from 2000 to 2007, Texas A&M from 2007 to 2011, and Maryland from 2011 to 2021. Personal Turgeon was born and raised as one of five children in Topeka, Kansas. After graduating from Hayden High School, Turgeon attended the University of Kansas, where he earned a bachelor's degree in personnel administration in 1987. He is married to Ann Fowler, whom he met at KU, and together they have three children. Playing career Turgeon played basketball at Hayden High School, helping the team post a 47–3 record and capture two consecutive Class 4A state championships in 1982 and 1983. Shooting sports have been included at every Summer Olympic Games since the birth of the modern Olympic movement at the 1896 Summer Olympics except at the 1904 and 1928 games. Summary Events Shooting was one of the nine events at the first modern Olympic Games in Athens, in 1896. Early competitions included some events now regarded as unusual, such as live pigeon shooting in 1900; dueling in 1906 and 1908; and numerous events restricted to military weapons. The Kansas Sports Hall of Fame is a museum located in Wichita, dedicated to preserving the history of sports in the state of Kansas. The museum provides exhibits, archives, facilities, services, and activities to honor those individuals and teams whose achievements in sports brought distinction to themselves, to their communities and to the entire state of Kansas. Margaret Murdock
Margaret Thompson Murdock (born August 25, 1942) is a nurse and former United States Army officer most widely known for her success in international shooting competitions, including a silver medal at the 1976 Summer Olympics. Murdock is the first woman to win a medal in shooting at the Summer Olympics and the first to win an individual open World Shooting Championship. In international competition Murdock set four individual world records and nine team world records.
