Hawkman
Hawkman is the name of several superheroes appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. Created by writer Gardner Fox and artist Dennis Neville, the original Hawkman first appeared in ''Flash Comics'' #1, published by All-American Publications in 1940. Although iterations of Hawkman appeared throughout the character's publication history, they are commonly characterized as hawk-themed warriors with a preference for archaic weaponry, large wings with a harness attached to it, and possessing Nth metal, which is a special metal with gravity-negating effects. Most iterations are also connected as being involved in a cycle of reincarnation, characterized as sometimes having reoccurring elements within their lifetimes. Hawkman (Carter Hall)
Hawkman (Carter Hall) is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. He is the first character to use the name Hawkman. There are two separate origins of Carter Hall; the Golden Age origin and the Post-Hawkworld (or current) origin. The character made his live-action debut in the television series ''Smallville (TV series), Smallville'', played by Michael Shanks. He also appeared in the Arrowverse crossover "Heroes Join Forces" and the series ''Legends of Tomorrow'', portrayed by Falk Hentschel. Hawkman appears in the DC Extended Universe film ''Black Adam (film), Black Adam'' (2022), portrayed by Aldis Hodge. Creation Gardner F. Hawkman (Katar Hol)
Hawkman (Katar Hol) is a DC Comics superhero. He is the Silver Age, Bronze Age and New 52 Hawkman. Created by Gardner Fox and Joe Kubert, he first appeared in ''The Brave and the Bold'' #34 (February–March 1961). There are two versions of Katar Hol, the Silver Age/ Pre-Crisis version and the post-'' Hawkworld''/ Post-Crisis version. Publication history The Silver Age Hawkman (Katar Hol) was first introduced in ''The Brave and the Bold'' #34 by artist Joe Kubert and writer Gardner Fox. At this time DC had already rebooted many of its characters such as the Flash and Green Lantern. Hawkman's first appearance sold well and spawned five more tryout issues in ''The Brave and the Bold''. Gardner Fox
Gardner Francis Cooper Fox (May 20, 1911 – December 24, 1986) was an American writer known best for creating numerous comic book characters for DC Comics. He is estimated to have written more than 4,000 comics stories, including 1,500 for DC Comics. Fox was also a science fiction author and wrote many novels and short stories. Fox is known as the co-creator of DC Comics heroes Barbara Gordon, the original Flash, Hawkman, Hawkgirl, Doctor Fate, Zatanna and the original Sandman, and was the writer who first teamed several of those and other heroes as the Justice Society of America, and later recreated the team as the Justice League of America. Joe Kubert
Joseph Kubert (; September 18, 1926 – August 12, 2012) was a Poland, Polish-born Americans, American comic book artist, art teacher, and founder of The Kubert School. He is best known for his work on the DC Comics characters Sgt. Rock and Hawkman. He is also known for working on his own creations, such as Tor (comics), Tor, Son of Sinbad, and the Viking Prince, and, with writer Robin Moore, the comic strip ''Tales of the Green Beret''. Two of Kubert's sons, Andy Kubert and Adam Kubert, themselves became recognized comic book artists, as did Andy's daughter Emma Kubert and many of Kubert's former students, including Stephen R. Hawkman (Fel Andar)
Fel Andar is a DC Comics character who also called himself Hawkman. There are two different versions of Fel Andar: the pre-Hawkworld version (named Fell Andar) was created by Jenny Blake Isabella and Richard Howell, while the post-Hawkworld version was created by John Ostrander and Graham Nolan. Anderson Jr. (July 9, 1926 – October 22, 2015) was an American comics artist, known as one of the premier inkers of his era, who worked for companies such as DC Comics for over fifty years, starting in the Golden Age of Comic Books in the 1940s. Zauriel is a fictional superhero in the DC Universe. Originally a guardian angel who served Heaven for millions of years, he willingly falls to Earth to serve humanity as their champion and joins the Justice League. Richard Howell (born November 16, 1955) is an American comics artist best known as the co-founder and editor of Claypool Comics. Career Richard Howell entered the comics industry in 1977 with his self-published series '' Portia Prinz of the Glamazons''. Beginning in 1980, he and his partner Carol Kalish co-edited the New Media/Irjax line of magazines. They also ran the New Media/Irjax-owned Boston-area distributor Solar Spice and Liquors, named after a fictional corporation created by science fiction writer Poul Anderson. Howell replaced Peter B. A prominent writer and artist in the 1990s, he is known for co-creating the character Cable (comics), Cable with writer Louise Simonson and the character Deadpool with writer Fabian Nicieza.
