Hasan Sönmez
Hasan Sönmez (born September 27, 1976 in İznik, Bursa, Turkey) is a retired Turkish people, Turkish Football (soccer), footballer. He played for seven different clubs throughout his career, including GençlerbirliÄŸi S.K., GençlerbirliÄŸi, Trabzonspor and Kayserispor. He finished his career with Iznikspor in 2011–12, the same team he started his career with in 1994. Career Hasan Sönmez spent his youth career with Iznikspor, he made his career debut on 17 September 1994 in a 2–1 away defeat against Beylerbeyi S.K., Beylerbeyi. He made 23 appearances in the 1994–95 TFF Third League season for Iznikspor before departing in 1995 to sign his first professional contract with GençlerbirliÄŸi S.K., GençlerbirliÄŸi. He made his GençlerbirliÄŸi debut in a 5–2 away defeat to Nazilli Belediyespor in the Turkish Cup. İznik
İznik () is a municipality and district of Bursa Province, Turkey. Its area is 753 km2, and its population 44,236 (2022). The town is at the site of the ancient city of Nicaea, from which the modern name derives. The town lies in a fertile basin at the eastern end of Lake İznik, with ranges of hills to the north and south. As the crow flies, the town is only southeast of Istanbul but by road it is around the Gulf of İzmit. It is by road from Bursa. The Süper Lig (, ''Super League''), also known as Trendyol Süper Lig for sponsorship reasons, is a professional association football league in Turkey and the highest level of the Turkish football league system. In the 2023–2024 season, twenty clubs compete, where a champion is decided and three clubs are promotion and relegation, promoted from, and another four relegated to the TFF First League, 1. Lig. The season runs from August to May, with each club playing 36 matches. Matches are played Friday through Monday.
