Harun Ahmed Choudhury
Harun Ahmed Chowdhury is a retired Major General of the Bangladesh Army. He was the first High Commissioner of Bangladesh to the Maldives. He had served as the ambassador of Bangladesh to Cyprus and Serbia. He is a veteran of the Bangladesh Liberation War and was awarded Bir Uttom, the second-highest military award for individual gallantry. Early life and education Chowdhury was born on 6 November 1945 in Noakhali District, Bengal Presidency, Bengal, British Raj, British India. His father was Justice Abdus Sobhan Chowdhury. He passed his matriculation from Jessore Zilla School in 1960. He completed his intermediate from Dinajpur Government College in 1962. Noakhali District
Noakhali District (), historically known as Bhulua (), is a Districts of Bangladesh, district in southeastern Bangladesh, located in Chattogram Division. It was established as a district in 1821, and officially named Noakhali in 1868. Nuruddin Khan
Nuruddin Khan is a retired Lieutenant General of the Bangladesh Army who served as Chief of Army Staff of the Bangladesh Army (1990–1994), and served as Energy Minister of Bangladesh (1996–1997). Muhammed Abul Manzur
Muhammed Abul Manzur (24 February 1940 – 1 June 1981) was a Bangladeshi military officer who commanded the Bangladesh Forces operations in Sector 8 during the Bangladesh Liberation War against Pakistan in 1971. He was allegedly involved in the assassination of the then-president of Bangladesh, Ziaur Rahman. He had been awarded the Bir Uttam by the Bangladeshi government for his actions in the Bangladesh Liberation War. Assassination Of Ziaur Rahman
Ziaur Rahman, the sixth president of Bangladesh, was assassinated by a faction of officers of Bangladesh Army, on 30 May 1981, in the southeastern port city of Chittagong.
