Hartmut Greven (born 25. November 1942 in Neustadt in Oberschlesien) is a German zoologist. Life After studying biology, Hartmut Greven received his doctorate in 1971 at the University of Münster with a thesis on faunistic-ecological and functional-morphological studies on native tardigrades, where he completed his post-doctoral habilitation in 1978 with a thesis entitled "Contributions to the reproductive biology of the genus Salamandra (Amphibia, Urodela)". After working at the Medical Faculty of the University of Münster and acting professorships at Paderborn and Düsseldorf, he became Professor of Zoomorphology at the former Institute for Zoomorphology, Cell Biology and Parasitology at the Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf ( HHU; ), named after German poet Heinrich Heine, is a public university in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, which was founded in 1965. Prudnik (, , , ) is a town in southern Poland, located in the southern part of Opole Voivodeship near the border with the Czech Republic. It is the administrative seat of Prudnik County and Gmina Prudnik. Its population numbers 21,368 inhabitants (2016). Since 2015, Prudnik is a member of the Cittaslow, Cittaslow International.
