Newton Harcourt is a village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Wistow, in the Harborough district, in the English county of Leicestershire, and lies 7 miles south-east of the city of Leicester on the northern ridge of the River Sence valley. In 1931 the parish had a population of 142. Geography The village is situated on the northern ridge of the River Sence valley. The whole village is situated on Oadby Member Till that is underpinned by two Lower Jurassic bedrock geology Formations; Blue Lias mudstone (55-120 million years old) to the western half of the village, and Charmouth Mudstone (105-180 million years old) to the eastern half. Studio Harcourt is a photography studio founded in 1933 by Cosette Harcourt at 11, rue Christophe-Colomb in Paris. In 1934, she joined forces with the Lacroix brothers, press bosses and Robert Ricci, son of Nina Ricci to found the Harcourt studio. It is known in particular for its black-and-white photographs of movie stars and celebrities, but having one's photo taken at Harcourt a few times during one's life was once considered standard by the French upper middle class. Harcourt Street (Irish: Sráid Fhearchair) is a street located in Dublin City, Ireland. Location It is a little over in length with its northerly start at the south-east corner of St Stephen's Green and terminates in the south at the point where Adelaide Road becomes Harcourt Road, near Harcourt Terrace. The River Stein, an underground river, runs underneath the upper section of the street. History The street was created during a period of street construction and improvement overseen by the Wide Streets Commission in the 18th century, extending from St Stephen's Green towards the Circular Road to the south. Mount Vernon Harcourt, also unofficially known as Mount Harcourt, is a conical stratovolcano, that rises over 1,535 meters, making up part of the Hallett Peninsula extending into the Ross Sea about south of Mount Erebus, along with three overlapping shield volcanoes.
