Hanuš Johann Peter Paul Schwaiger (28 June 1854 – 17 June 1912) was a painter, designer, graphic artist and professor, best known for his fairy-tale illustrations. He was from Bohemia. Biography He was the only son of six children born to a German-speaking ironmonger, and was baptized as a Catholic. In 1865, he was enrolled at the local gymnasium, but failed his courses and transferred to the Realschule in České Budějovice, where he met a teacher who encouraged his artistic interests.Brief biography

Hanuš Wihan
Hanuš Wihan (5 June 1855 – 1 May 1920) was a Czech cellist. Some considered him the greatest of his time. He was strongly associated with the works of Antonín Dvořák, whose Cello Concerto in B minor, Rondo in G minor, and the short piece '' Silent Woods'' were all dedicated to him. He was the founder and later cellist of the Czech String Quartet, which was world-famous throughout its 40-year existence. The Prague astronomical clock or Prague Orloj ( ) is a medieval astronomical clock attached to the Old Town Hall in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. Description The Orloj is mounted on the southern wall of Old Town Hall in the Old Town Square. Hanuš of Lipá (died 1415) was a Bohemian nobleman and military leader. He was acting lord of Rataje nad Sázavou before the heir Jan Ptáček of Pirkstein came of age, and was appointed Supreme Marshal of the Kingdom of Bohemia shortly before his death. Ignác Jan Hanuš or, in German, Ignaz Johann Hanusch (28 October 1812, in Prague – 19 May 1869, in Prague) was a Czech philosopher and librarian. Jan Hanuš (May 2, 1915 – July 30, 2004) was a prolific Czech composer of the 20th century. Almost every category of composition is represented among his works, many of which are overtly political, expressing anti-Nazi, anti-Fascist and anti-Communist sentiments. Biography Hanuš studied composition independently with Otakar Jeremiáš while attending school at the Prague Conservatory, where he graduated in 1940. He subsequently studied at a business school, and then worked both as editor and editor-in-chief of several major publishing houses, including F. A. Urbánek & Sons, and Panton (Müller 2001). Josef Jan Hanuš Distinguished Flying Cross (United Kingdom), DFC (13 September 1911 – 21 April 1992) was a First Czechoslovak Republic, Czechoslovak fighter pilot who served in first the French Air Force and then the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve (RAFVR) in the World War II, Second World War. In 1945 after the Second World War, Hanuš returned to Third Czechoslovak Republic, Czechoslovakia, but after the 1948 Czechoslovak coup d'état, he escaped back to the United Kingdom and rejoined the Royal Air Force, with which he served until 1968.
