Hans Peter Elisa Lødrup
Hans Peter Elisa Lødrup (26 April 1885 – 25 January 1955) was a Norwegian journalist, newspaper editor, non-fiction writer and politician for the Conservative Party. He edited the newspaper ''Lillehammer Tilskuer'' for ten years, wrote a biography of sculptor Gustav Vigeland, and wrote a book on the 1940 Battle of Vinjesvingen. Career After graduating as cand.jur. in 1908, Lødrup worked for the newspaper ''Morgenbladet'' from 1909 to 1911. He edited the periodical ''Riksmaalsbladet'' from 1912 to 1916, was a journalist in ''Aftenposten'' for many years, and edited the newspaper ''Lillehammer Tilskuer'' from 1930 to 1940. Among his publications is a biography of Gustav Vigeland from 1944, and the book ''Vinjesvingen'' from 1945, treating the Battle of Vinjesvingen and the Norwegian Campaign in Telemark in 1940. Skien () is a municipality in Telemark county, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Grenland, although historically it belonged to Grenmar/Skiensfjorden, while Grenland referred the Norsjø area and Bø. The administrative centre of the municipality is the city of Skien, which is also the administrative centre of the whole county. Market Towns Of Hedmark And Oppland Counties
The Market towns of Hedmark and Oppland counties () was an electoral district for parliamentary elections in Norway. It comprised the market towns () of Hamar and Kongsvinger in Hedmark county and Lillehammer and Gjøvik in Oppland county. The district was established ahead of the 1921 Norwegian parliamentary election following the change from single member constituencies to plural member constituencies in 1919. Following changes in the national policy on market towns in 1952, these electoral districts were abolished ahead of the 1953 Norwegian parliamentary election. Instead, each county became one electoral district, and for election purposes the towns were integrated into their respective counties. ''Hvem er hvem?'' () was a Norwegian book series, presenting facts about notable persons from Norway. The first edition was issued in 1912, and the 14th edition came in 1994. From 1938, the plan was to publish such a book every three years, but the Second World War made that impossible. At the time, such a book was published annually in Denmark and every two years in Sweden. In the 2008 edition, edited by Knut Olav Åmås, one thousand persons were selected for presentation. About one third of the articles are longer, signed biographies, while the rest have a shorter, more encyclopedic format. The latest edition was edited by Knut Olav Åmås and narrowed down to 1,000 people. This differs from the older ones in style in that the articles are in a more journalistic style with personal characteristics, in addition to the purely biographical year information. Norwegian Trekking Association
The Norwegian Trekking Association (, DNT) is a Norwegian association which maintains mountain trails and cabins in Norway. The association was founded on 21 January 1868 with the scope "to help and develop tourism in this country". Today the goal is to work for simple, secure and natural environment, environmentally friendly outdoor activities. DNT has currently more than 300,000 individual members, and 57 local chapters. It also has several "honorary members", prominent people who have shown a keen interest in Norwegian nature and given the country publicity as a tourist destination, among them Kofi Annan and Katie Melua.
