Hans Hügi
Hans Hügi, known as Hügi (I), (29 September 1926 - 1 February 2000) was a Swiss footballer who played twelve years for FC Basel and two seasons for Young Fellows Zürich as defender. Football career Between the years 1947 and 1959 Hügi (I) played a total of 296 games for Basel scoring a total of 56 goals. 226 of these games were in the Nationalliga A, 24 in the Swiss Cup and 76 were friendly games. He scored 38 goal in the domestic league, five in the Swiss Cup and the other 14 were scored during the test games. Hügi (I) played his debut in domestic league game in the Landhof on 23 May 1948 in the game against Locarno. Basel won the game 2–1 and it was Hügi (I) who scored the winning goal in the last minute of the game. FC Grenchen
FC Grenchen is a Swiss football club, based in Grenchen. They currently play in the 2. Liga, and play their matches at the Brühl Stadium. History FC Grenchen was founded in 1906. In 1937 they gained promotion to the top league of Swiss football, Nationalliga A, in these inter-war years they came runners-up in this league three times, and runner up in the cup, but their biggest success came post-war coming second in the league one further time and winning the cup in 1959. This was the 56th season of top-tier and the 55th season of second-tier football in Switzerland. The 1952–53 season was Fussball Club Basel 1893's 59th season in their existence. It was their seventh consecutive season in the top flight of Swiss football after their promotion from the Nationalliga B the season 1945–46. They played their home games in the Landhof, in the Wettstein Quarter in Kleinbasel. Jules Düblin was the club's chairman for the seventh successive season.
