Hans-Kristian Kjos Sørensen
Hans-Kristian Kjos Sørensen is a Norwegian percussion and cimbalom player. Career Born in Oslo, Hans-Kristian Kjos Sørensen started to play music at the age of seven and grew up playing percussion, piano and tuba. He studied percussion at the Norwegian Academy of Music. After a short period as principal percussionist in Stavanger Symphony Orchestra (1989) and later Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra (1990–91), he went on to study at the Banff School of Fine Arts in Canada and at the Conservatoire National de Région Versailles with Sylvio Gualda, where he obtained the Prix de Perfectionnement à l'unanimité. He is also a prizewinner from CIEM-competition in Geneva 1992. He has worked with composers like Olga Neuwirth, Henrik Hellstenius, Ørjan Matre, Lars Petter Hagen, Eivind Buene, George Crumb, Rolf Wallin, Brett Dean, Svante Henryson, Åse Hedstrøm and Per Nørgård, who dedicated to him the piece "Isternia" for cimbalom solo in 2010. Oslo
Oslo ( or ; ) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality. Brett Dean (born 23 October 1961) is an Australian composer, violist and conductor. Early life Brett Dean was born, raised, and educated in Brisbane. He attended Brisbane State High School. He started learning violin at age 8, and later studied viola with Elizabeth Morgan and John Curro at the Queensland Conservatorium, where he graduated in 1982 with the Conservatorium Medal for the highest-achieving student of the year. In 1981 he was a prizewinner in the ABC Symphony Australia Young Performers Awards. Career From 1985 to 1999, Dean was a violist in the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra. Swedish Chamber Orchestra
The Swedish Chamber Orchestra () is a Swedish orchestra based in Örebro. Established under its current name in 1995, its primary concert venue is the Örebro Concert Hall. The historical precursor ensembles to the orchestra included the ''Harmonic Society'' (Harmoniska sällskapet), which was active from 1831 to 1837. In 1859, the ''Philharmoniska sällskapet'' (Philharmonic Society) was founded under Karl Johan Lewerth. The Malmö Symphony Orchestra () is a Swedish orchestra, based in Malmö. Since 2015, it has been resident at the Malmö Live Concert Hall. The orchestra has a complement of 94 musicians. The Philharmonia Orchestra is a British orchestra based in London. It was founded in 1945 by Walter Legge, a classical music record producer for EMI Classics, EMI.
